Now I'm really kicking myself about not sending it via courier. I mailed ours yesterday via USPS and this strike has me very concerned. Do you have any sense of it is expected to be prolonged? Do you think it would be a good idea to resend via courier and try to contact CIC to cancel the one sent via post?Yey! So it is moving then. We just have to find out how fast they can process our applications.
The sad thing is that Canada Post's drivers that were under contract in Nova Scotia are on strike right now. This will probably affect August applicants. I will suggest that August applicants use a courier instead for the meantime.
I, unfortunately, do not know how long this is going to take. The union said that it can go on for the foreseeable future. They've been trying to get in touch with their employer since 2016 but with no resolution still. Now I'm really kicking myself about not sending it via courier. Hey! Just wondering where you’re getting your info? Want to make sure I’ve got what’s most current. Article I found online said that they are resuming working as of this morning and on the Canada Post Service Alerts site there’s no mention of delays due to strike.I, unfortunately, do not know how long this is going to take. Yes, you got the latest update as of this morning. They're resuming work this Friday morning because employees were on strike since Wednesday - 2 days ago. Canada Post, probably, didn't mention anything because it's not their employees directly, but it's the employees of a company that they contracted to do delivery on their behalf. They previously mentioned in a news article that they will not give any comments.Hey! Just wondering where you’re getting your info? Want to make sure I’ve got what’s most current.
