Just sent my husband's paperwork via UPS yesterday, ETA in Sydney is end of day on Tuesday. Glad I found this forum to compare notes! I'm originally from Canada, but have been in the US for the past 14 years (10 in New Orleans) and ready to move back with the hubby, daughter, and pets. We are planning on next summer, though, to avoid interfering with the kiddo's school year. Good luck everyone!

Very Good, great news you are giving. Thank you
Hello, For Spousal Sponsorship outside canada class the application has to be submitted at the NS address? I was reading the IMM 5289, guide it states to send the application to NS if :
Choose this option if your spouse or common-law partner is living in Canada with you, but doesn’t plan to stay in Canada while the application is being processed.
this does not apply to my case, my spouse is in my home country and I am here in Canada, I will remain in canada during the process of the application.
please advise i am confused.

i had one more question:
I am submitting my spousal sponsorship application by next week. My wife would not like to waste a year and apply in a art school so she can continue here studies. can she do that while her application of sponsorship is in progress? and if so can someone guide me how?

If you are the Sponsor and she [applicant] is outside of Canada, then you must send your app. package to SYDNEY. This change was effective June 2018 I guess.

Guys, please help.

I checked online last night. Something weird happened, my application got cancelled.

The screen shows: If you see that your application was cancelled, it means that before we made a final decision, we:
  • made a mistake and had to recreate your application
  • found that you do not need the status/document you applied for.
Does anyone know anything about it?

My application so far was:
IMM received our application on 14th June 2018
Received PCC requested on 27th July 2018
Received AOR1 on 30th July 2018

What actually the procedure of the application should be?

The Guide reads:-
India – Instruction(s) for documents
• Birth certificates issued in this country: If a birth is registered late, include the original baptism certificate and other original documents establishing identity such as:
◦ Old school records (Fifth class, Middle standard and Matriculation/secondary school certificate), and ◦ Voter's ID card.
AND document check list says:- Please submit PHOTOCOPIES unless asked by Country Specific, so if for example INDIA list from full guide Country Specific >drop down; they did not ask ORIGINAL except for Birth. so a certified copy of the Original Marriage will be OK.:)

My father submitted my application (dependent child) June 15, 2018 and received June 18, 2018. It says that it takes 46 days for approval of application. Yet its almost months still no news about our application. Now we are planning to send another copy to Sydney NS.

all documents need to be original? like marriage certificate, birth certificate etc?
It depends. Use this link to check the country-specific requirements for those documents:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp

You should call IRCC to check and don't send another application. You're just going to confuse the review officers. If it's incomplete or something's wrong with your application, they will send it back to you.
