Having a lot of experience in Super Visa insurance we have found some areas that are troublesome. On a positive not etfs has amended their contract for the Super Visa insurance requirements for older ages. etfs is underwritten by RSA one of the oldest insurance companies in the worlds, British based. After reviewing their contract I was impressed it is written in English people can understand without the usual legal language even lawyers have trouble interpreting and the premium is competitive. etfs also amended their contract to include coverage for pre existing conditions, it is a good policy at a fair price.

Never buy Super visa insurance from a company named Special Risks SRMRM
The underwritter company is AIG Travel insurance.

My personal experience is it is very hard to get a claim approved with them.
Just for a $60 claim I fought with them for about an year.
Only thing people go for it is the low and attractive premium.
You need to call them again and again inorder to process your claim.
First they will tell the lies like you did not inform us on time, they did not get the claim docs etc
All they want to do is to reject your claim. Beware of them !!
The claims are managed by Globe Insurance management Montreal ( The worst claim processing Ive ever seen)

You have to have a proof of insurance valid for 1 year to attach it to your application. This is one of the main requirements of being granted the Super Visa.

You can either go with a monthly plan or buy for the whole year. The whole year is usually less expensive but monthly plan is more flexible.

If in double - speak to an insurance agent to make sure you get the plan you need.
