Hi Everyone,

I hope you guys can help me.
My sister and her husband (they have a baby now) are applying for my parents' Supervisa since last December, the LICO that time for five members is 47,710CAD.
We have just finalized all the papers and sent the documents to Canadian Embassy Manila 2 days ago.
When we checked the website just now, the LICO has changed from 47,710 to 49,120. :'(
My brother in law's LICO is 48k and we are now thinking that the application of my parents will be refused.
My sister in Canada has savings of around 20,000 CAD.
Will the VO really rely on the LICO and not considering the investment?
Also, my parents have 10,000CAD pocket money for their intended stay of 6 months.
Will they still be refused? ???

what if, we declare only our mom for supervisa and my dad for a regular TRV, do you think that would work better?
Please help, thanks a lot!

Yes - you should expect the supervisa to be refused. Having savings doesn't count. Your sister and her husband must make enough income.

Yes - you can reapply for the supervisa for just your mother. If your mother is approved, keep in mind that there's no guarantee your father will be approved for the TRV.

Hi Scylla,

thanks for your reply.. I really appreciate it.

The documents of my parents was returned by the courier.
It says in the notice of incomplete application that my mom's Family Info form is missing. The form is not missing.
When we submitted the documents, we used paper clips as advised my the call centre, when the documents were returned, the forms of my dad and my mom are stapled and mistakenly, the family info form of my mom is included in my dad's file. so they thought, its missing. Why would not they check the whole thing first before returning the package, when in fact the kit is so complete? Right now, we are to call again the call centre for pick up of the documents that might take again for 2 to 3 days before the courier will arrive.

But I think it is also a sign, so I can add the email of my brother in law about the change in the effective date of my parents' medical and travel insurance. Before, the effec date is from Feb2013-Jan2014, but he changed it to March2013-Feb2014. I printed it and include in the package. Also, since you told me that the application might get refused, my dad is thinking of including a personal letter to the VO that if in case, they cant be granted supervisas, he stated in the letter if the VO can issue a supervisa to my mom and he's ok with the TRV.. OR, if the case is still not possible, TRVs for the both of them would also work. He wants to include that so the VO will not return the whole thing as refused, and he might consider, giving whatever visas to them without returning the kit and reapply again. Do you think, it is okay to include that?

The LICO last year is 47,710 and the required now is 49,120 for five members. The Notice of Assessments of my BIL only shows 48,634 Gross for 2011 which is just 500 off. I just hope VO might consider their supervisa application, because the NOA of my BIL for 2012 is not yet available, and for sure his latest NOA would show a gross of higher than his current of 48,634.

I don't think the VO will consider your father's letter. I think you should either file the super visa application just for your mother - or expect the application to be refused. The VO is going to process the application as submitted and isn't going to remove one individual or grant TRVs instead because your brother doesn't meet LICO.

Hi Scylla,

Thanks for your reply again..
I think I have to talk to my sister and BIL in Canada on what to do.
They thought everything's fine because they know my BIL meets the LICO, but now its different. :(
