Hi Everyone. My mom is expected to visit on May 7 on Supervisa.

1) What documents should she have with her at the airport besides proof of insurance?
2) Any tips for getting through immigration to get the 2 years stay?
3) What were your parents experiences like?
4) What questions did immigration officers ask your parents?

Really appreciate your help.

This is really good question. I also wanted to know.
Anybody who's parents came here please share your experience ??

Hello All,
I am in the process of apply super visa for both my in laws. I know this topic has been discussed already; since most of you applied recently, I am asking for help here.
It is regarding insurance. The cheapest quote I got if $4200 annual payment with zero deductable (not monthly payment plan). Here is there details:

FIL: 67 year old, diabetes; apprx $2500 for him
MIL: 61 blood pressure and thyroid. apprx $1700 for her

Could any of you please share your feedback on this rate or share you much you have paid for your parents?

Thanks,

Immigration officers have just asked for proof of Insurance. But we asked her to carry copies of our PR cards and passport as well. Not too many questions, just the reason for visiting and who is she visiting.

They didn't stamp a date first time she arrived here (which means she could have stayed up to 2 yrs). But she stayed here for 10 months and went back to India for a month due to personal work. When she came back immigration officers said that she could stay only for 1 year and 2 months. If she needs to stay here for 2 yrs again she has to at least stay out of Canada for 6 months.

Oh really...
So if anybody wants to stay again for 2 years then they have to stay out for 6 months from Canada :(
And what about if anybody comes after 1-2 months again then is there any specific time they allow or it depends on the immigration officer?

That depends on the immigration officer. We were with her last time she came in and he clearly mentioned he can give for 2 years only when she has stayed out for at least 6 months. she has gone out in Feb, we are planning to bring her back in 4-5 months, will let you all know how it goes..
