A visit visa (TRV) seems perfect for your case. However, Super Visa is easier to get (not applicable for your sister though).

If you decide to try TRV first, write a good invitation letter explaining that your sister has a govt. job and your parents want to travel together with your sister and they cannot stay here for more than 3 - 4 weeks. Do not mention 'months' when you're applying for TRV. All their financial status seem good enough. I'm not sure though how your grandfather's property can help in this case.

Thank you so very much for your guidance. Do you happen to have invitation letter template? If yes could you please forward that to me?

No, it's not mandatory for SV.

India mum dad supper visa application taking too long almost 3 months now. Guys do you know why it's happening?

Hi to all. I and my husband are sponsoring my father for super visa. Please answer two questions. Thanks (:

1. previously, a year back, we have sponsored my mother and she was granted super visa and she visited us and returned in 40 days, now when we are applying for my father, there is a family form which ask for all family members and whether they will be traveling with you, what shall we write here, for my mother.

2. I will apply in the last week of December 2016, naturally application will be processed in 2017, the minimum income table given right now is for 2016, so how my application would be judged, will it be judged by 2016 minimum income table or 2017 table (is that available any where). Further, is LICO and Minimum Income Table same thing or two different thing.

Thanks you.

Its probably due to Medical Reports. Some test specially the sputum test for TB took almost 60 days to complete. If doctor think that this test is necessary than you are stuck. I am in same boat and check with IOM they told me this story. Not sure how true it is and not sure why its taking 60 days for result.

Thanks

You have to mention her name and address + her current occupation / housewife if she is not working. Check the box if she is going to travel with your father

If you apply before 31st December LICO will be for 2016 even visa will be processed in 2017. LICO and Minimum income table are same thing.

Thanks you.

Hi there, how many years do I have to meet the LICO for the super visa?
Also after 10years, can they apply again?

1 Year LICO for supervisa. of course they can re-apply after 10 years.

Thank you, seeing as though they have changed the PGP now I thought we would go this route until we are lucky enough to be drawn.

Has anyone told an officer at the boarder that they are coming here while waiting for their Sponsorship to be approved? Where they able to get through?
My concern is that it seems as though some people get declined because their ties are too strong in Canada and that it looks like they are going to stay here permanently however CIC recommends people get the supervisa while waiting for sponsorship.
My parents will both have their Australia pension as their income and will be the travel insurance, do you think there will be an issue?
Also, once the 2 years is finished and you cross back over to extend it, what do we say? Isnt it going to look like they are wanting to be here permanently.

I would hate for them to give up everything in Australia to move here and after 2 years aren't allowed back in to Canada.

Hi, I want to apply for supervisa for my parents in law I'll be consigner and their daughter will be the main sponsor...I want to know how long is the process? If we send application in January in how long do you guys think they will get visa by?

Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) = 1.3 x Low Income Cut-Off (LICO)

MNI is used for Parents' Sponsorship (PR).
LICO is used for Parents' Supervisa (TRV).
