Finally my MIL got her Visa but w/ only 4 yr valid visa as that is the same validity length of her passport. Anyway better than not being granted I guess. Also there is a PG1 on her visa, what does that mean? Thanks to anyone who can answer.

Goodluck to all who are still waiting on their parents visa's.

hello can someone tell me how to prove my income for super visa if I get paid cash and I don't want to pay high taxes to revanue Canada? Also what do i have to show gross or net income to meet LICO?

Suppervisa is only for people who meet LICO.
Don't think if you not paying tax then CIC will be satisfied that you earn enough to maintain expenses of your dependents.

Hello,

To those who have their parents arrived in Canada via supervisa, did they have a 1 way ticket only or officers would want a return flight as well like the regular visitor visa? Pls share info as the ticketing agency was questioning our purchase of 1 way ticket for my MIL saying immigration officer might refuse entry because she doesnt have return ticket.

Your response would be highly appreciated.

Can people with parents that arrived with supervisa shared their experiences at the POE?
What were they asked? What did the POE wanted to see? Results for ME? Insurance proof? Return ticket?

My mom came twice with TRV, and was never asked at the POE to show her return ticket. I don't think return ticket is a strong indicator that the person will return back to the country. Or maybe it is different depending on which country you come from.

So does that mean your parents have a return ticket for 2 yrs as that is the maximum time allowed for supervisa? Pls. share some more details so all of us that is still waiting for our parents would be enlightened as to what they really ask on POE.

My MIL will be coming this weekend with a one way ticket, hoping all will be fine.

Thanks.

If you are a Filipino citizen travelling to another country, you should be able to provide the following at any port of entry or at the NAIA or ither international airport in the Philippines: Passport, Visa, and 2 way ticket. Otherwise you will not be allowed to exit the country and you will not be admitted into the country you intend to visit. Super visa is still a visitor's visa only with a different code.

Hi, I would like to know more about your parents' experience at the POE. Please e-email me that would be helpful.

Parents came on Single entry Visit Visa and they were asked by immigration officer to show return ticket and thats it nothing else passport was simply stamp with no date it means they can live here 6 Months from the day of landing , I am planning to apply for Super Visa for them now, but I am not sure whether TRV is extend-able to Super Visa or not

Kind Regards

Yes, you can extend 6-month TRV stay up to 2 years with Super Visa from inside Canada. I just did that for my mom last month. You can see my previous posts for more details.

My mom has multi entry visa. I wanted to apply for a Super visa for her. But I am not employed. I have filed my taxes in 2011 and will be filing taxes this month for the last year (both are jointly with my husband). I am in a state of confusion because I dont work and stay at home with my kids as one of them requieres extra attention.

Can you please tell me if I can apply for my mother's Super visa by mentioning my husband's income? He had worked for 3 months when we filed last year and has been working from June 2011 till date.

I am a bit tensed and would appreciate your earliest replies.
Thanks in advance
