I've searched far and wide and have yet to come across a definitive answer on this, so I'm hoping some of you can help me out here!

I'm a Canadian citizen and I want to apply for super visa for my parents as a representative.

  1. Do I use my own IRCC account to start a new visa application, or should I sign up for a new IRCC account as if my parents are signing up themselves, and start a new visa application on their account?
  2. At what point do I get to indicate that I'm acting as the representative for their visa application?
Your help is appreciated :)

1. They need their own account. They are the ones visiting not you.
2. When filling out the application there is a place to declare that you are acting as a representative

If you're a Canadian citizen applying for a Super Visa on behalf of your parents, you should not use your own IRCC account. Instead, create a new IRCC account using your parent’s details and submit the application from their profile (you can use your email if needed). Alternatively, if you wish to act as an official representative, you must complete Form IMM 5476 and apply through the IRCC Representative Portal. Using your own account can lead to mismatched information and possible refusal. Also, make sure to include valid Super Visa insurance with at least $100,000 coverage—required for approval.
