current processing time is 63 days. it depends on ur comfort whether to choose between online or paper. i have applied for my father on may1st paper upfront medicals. medicals passed. no update yet.

we applied fr my mother's super visa on 19may with upfront medical paper based application n got it within 14 days...

Hi everyone here I have an important question that I need some help with
I and my wife have our parents in Nigeria and we have just given birth to our second child here in Canada and both parents wants to see their grandchildren from us. We are PR and have stayed for 3 years now and both kids were born here. Both parents of both families are retired and both of them have little pension, so not rich. They also dont have much landed properties or such ties. We have other siblings some of who have grandchildren for them too still there in Nigeria with them.

Which will be better to apply for; Visiting visa or Super visa for four of them?
Can or should all the applications for 4 of them be put in once or one after another?
Only one of them have travelled before to Israel. This is the mother of my wife. I tried applying for visiting visa for her last year while I was still in Calgary but they denied her with the following reason: YOU HAVE NOT PROVIDED SUFFICIENT DOCUMENTATION TO SUPPORT YOUR/YOUR HOST'S INCOME AND ASSETS. Then I was jobless, on EI because I broke my wrist and previously I was working in a seasonal low paying job with very little savings. So I don't know if it was her own meagre income that caused it, or mine or both of us or just 'normal' rejection because I applied for the wrong visa type.
One in each family had partial stroke sometimes in the past. (I am giving this information as I see a lot about upfront medicals here, which I also don't know what it means or how to get that done)

I don't mind either of the visa types as I doubt whether each of the parents will want to stay infinitely, especially considering where I live now, the cold side of Nunavut, so please advise me on which visa will not be rejected. Our income for now, is a bit stable and sizeable.
Also they will likely be coming one group at a time, not four of them at the same time, as I don't have a castle of many rooms here.

I have very little knowledge or experience, so please wait for some senior to reply... But based on your situations, I would recommend you to go for Super visa, one family at a time, the reason being is that for super visa it is more on your side that you will have to do, that is buy insurance, must meet income requirements (as per notice of assessment), so I think this way even though they don't have much income that might still work.... I have had experience with visitor's visa, it is very very hard to get unless your financial and family tiesr are very strong backhome...

about having partial stroke, it should be fine as long as they are healthy now... but again, it is a medical professional's question, I can't say much...

Since you are four members in the family You will need to meet LICO requirement for six members if you are inviting two more persons on super visa..Your family income should be CAD 75174 for year 2016.
Your parents have to show strong ties to their country which can assure the visa officer that they will return to their country.Thr ties can be employment ,pension. property or family members outside Canada.
For a visitor visa the visitor has to show a regular income and ties to the home country.

Please help!!

I have applied super visa for my parents online along with the pre-medical exam. After few weeks I have received a medical request from CIC which I have already submittted with the application.

I have also called the hospital to resubmit forms but they inform I have to link forms given by hospital with new UCI/IME number.

I am really confused here, please help

Hi
I'm needing some advice here. My moms multiple entry visa will expire in May 2018, she is now in Canada with a visitor visa extension wich was given in Jan 2017 and will expire in Feb 2018. I need now to apply either for a new multiple visa or a Supervisa. Which one would you recommend? I want her to stay in Canada and apply within. Can she do this for either one of the visas?

Since you are four members in the family You will need to meet LICO requirement for six members if you are inviting two more persons on super visa..Your family income should be CAD 75174 for year 2016.
Your parents have to show strong ties to their country which can assure the visa officer that they will return to their country.Thr ties can be employment ,pension. property or family members outside Canada.
For a visitor visa the visitor has to show a regular income and ties to the home country.

So you are suggesting it will be safer to go with the Super visa if I meet the LICO for 2016 only?
