We have been contacted by the visa or in Rome about paying the right of permanent residence fee. We are applying from Greece. I am sponsoring my husband and 1 1\2 year old son. My receipt is for $1115 and I am certain that I have included the RPRF. I do now realize that the total amount is wrong ( $75 short? ). Have I gotten all this wrong? $475 for my husband, $150 for my son and $490 RPRF. I am missing the $75 for the sponsorship application. Is it possible that because the total amount is wrong that this is happening? I have replied to Rome but we need to leave asap because things are super unstablehere. Who should I contact? Is there an email for Mississauga? Thanks so much!

Your letter from Rome should have contact information.

You should cover all your bases:
1) Pay your $75 online missing from your RPRF.
2) Mail the receipt to CPC-Mississagua (officially, they will tell Rome if/when the money is received)
3) Email the receipt to CPC-M and Rome.
4) Fax the receipt.

If you do a quick google search of the CIC website or here, you'll find the email and fax numbers you need.

Here's the online link about paying fees: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/

If you decide to pay online, be sure to select "Right of permanent residence - not express entry"

You may want to pay the Right of permanent residence fee in full (i.e. $490), then request a refund of the balance. I say this because, CIC may not make the connection that the extra $75 is to complete what they already have in the account, resulting in delays.

I was thinking the same thing although an extra $490 is hard to spare at the moment! My calculations are correct though, right? I haven't missed something, have I?

Your calculations are correct, however you should still just pay the full RPRF and then request a refund.

The alternative is to pay the application fee, and include a letter explaining the reasons in full with all calculations. Send one to CPC-M and CC one to CPC-R. Email CPC-R with the same information advising them of everything in the letter with a breakdown of the fees.

Again, I would still pay the full.

Thanks for the help! Any idea what the email address for Mississauga is? I found Rome's but Mississauga's seems to be a big secret!
