That is why I say - it is not about Canada or India - it is my life in Canada vs my life in India....
Btw - is my salary good enough - what we need to do to enjoy our life here...how can we be happy & free of worry like we were in India...now-a-days we're locked in house due to weather (suffering from cold & flu).....or shall we just pack and go back? we're missing everything very badly.....
SecularFirst said:Atleast ij India anyone can send his studios students to become doctors and engineers. Look at the large number of professionals working in US, they mostly come from India or China. Pls do thorough research before moving.
SecularFirst said:Opportunities are way less here in US or Canada if you are starting from scratch. You can't get out of the poverty even if you do two jobs if you dont have an initial capital to start with, be it inheritance or recommendations (for jobs). Its impossible for people to climb up the ladder even if they burst their ass. That being said, many average folks consider getting a job of accountant or some everyday job paying $50k-$60k to be a huge success. Those will always be stuck in their lives and try to justify their move to Canada to themselves by taking solace in the fact that their kids would have a better shot at life. But as I said, its highly overrated.
Alexios07 said:Oh wow, said the guy who is also applying for the "highly overrated" Canada. Are you making millions? or just another keyboard warrior in India?
SecularFirst said:I worked one and half year here and faced very tough time but i had the plan to get into dental school to make my career. I got PR along the way but never focused solely on PR. My ultimate aim was to go into top rated dental school in US and I am happy I got into it and will be starting it soon. And I am from third world country and broke as hell, but I managed to do it coz deep down I really wanted to do it.
If you over 30, have a decent salary, and have no experience of living pay check to pay check, dont try to mess up your life by moving to a whole new country and start everything from zero
