Applied on April 28th in Qatar (processing in Abu Dhabi) paper application with biometrics on the same day, provided Upfront Medical and submitted passport with the application. Application still processing haven't heard anything yet.

Yes I did that a week ago. It shows that the application status is open.

The processing time according to cic website went down from 16 to 12 weeks. I hope that we will hear something from them soon.

I applied in Abu Dhabi Got my medical request May 08, Done on May 09, 2016 and no updates at all.
