what is ur expiration date on ur ead?No idea. Still waiting for the result. Submitted in May.
I submitted all of the above and still got a rejection. I will probably submit a request to reconsider pointing out to specific US regulations but at this point I don't think the decision will change unfortunately.Hello,
I am also applying from US. May I ask if you have submitted the following?
- Letter of explanation to explain your status in the US at the moment
- Your I20 to validate your student status
- Your US visa foil scan to prove that you have had a US visa even if expired
- Your EAD card
- Information from USCIS regarding 60 days grace period from EAD expiration date
It sucks to get rejected now and during this pandemic. I think the best path forward is to go back to your home country and apply from there. I also will depart the US soon.
I don't think there is a process to petition for a study permit, right? May I ask what office processes your application? It is on the corner of your decision letter.I submitted all of the above and still got a rejection. I'm not sure but I'll try submitting a webform... nothing to lose. My application was processed in OttawaI don't think there is a process to petition for a study permit, right? May I ask what office processes your application? It is on the corner of your decision letter.
What is the reason (reference of law) that they said on the rejection letter? Please provide this information!!! Thank you.Hi all,
My study permit was rejected on Monday on the ground that I "do not hold a valid US status." I am on the grace period after my OPT as a student in the US and that grace period is considered a valid status under US law. Any suggestions on how or if I should move forward?
And for those interested my timeline is below:
Submitted online application: June 30
Biometrics completed: July 16
Decision: July 27
It simply says:What is the reason (reference of law) that they said on the rejection letter? Please provide this information!!! Thank you.
Do they give a reference of law like a number 2xx(section) something? Because it is not justifiable for me!!! Without valid U.S. status, you cannot give the biometrics at USCIS.It simply says:
"I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• You do not hold a valid U.S. status."
Nothing was referenced, just straight up refusalDo they give a reference of law like a number 2xx(section) something? Because it is not justifiable for me!!! Without valid U.S. status, you cannot give the biometrics at USCIS.
Why did u get the result so fast since u applied on June 30th?Nothing was referenced, just straight up refusal
If they likely reject your application, then the decision would come really fast approximately just in 7 working days! Why did u get the result so fast since u applied on June 30th?
