I think it depends how long they will stamp your visa... However, I could not find any information on cic website. But I think some one have said it is 10 business days?

@Tolan4uk: Would you please share what mail service you used to send the study permit application package to Los Angeles from Canada? I am about to send mine, but I would like to have someone experience with the process before submit mine. Have you got your passport back yet?

yes i too had already sent them a case specific enquiry last week...no reply from them...i hope we get it real soon to get of this waiting and frustration

Hey did you find out how long it takes to return the passport? I think some one mentioned to me that you can get it same day if it is a visitor's visa and you submit it in person... But that's for sure a different story. But did they sent back to you already?

My passport got delivered today and I still don't know how long it takes but I hope they return it by the end of next week. I sent them an express flat rate return envelope so am keeping my fingers crossed. Any updates on yours?

I recieved the passport request yesterday and I sent it through USPS with return envelope. ;D

Remember to note the tracking number of the return slip before you seal the envelope. :-\

Finally it's only u and me who r yet to receive the permit...did u apply just for you?..i had applied for my family along with my study permit, i guess that's why the delay is about...all the best..

yeah...I applied for the coop work permit with mine because there's a compulsory 2-month work practicum with my course.
