I am in Canada as a visitor,
when applying for Study Permit at LA ...
in the field "current country of residence" ... should I write "Canada" ? and my current address as well !

Yes, I think you should and you might also need to apply for the study permit at a Canadian Consulate.
 
how do people apply for study permit in LA?
Do we have to send it to VAC or can I mail it directly to LA Consulate?
If I want to send the proof of medical exam on a future date but before it's requested, how do I do that?
my status is currently a visitor in canada

You can apply online which is the fastest and safest way.
 
Joining this thread, my sister is on her visit visa here in canada.. i submitted her application in LA via mail. They received the application May 27, 2014. She is also in grade 10 this coming school year on September. Just want to know the timeline nowadays.. thank you.

What type of application did you submit for her? permanent residence or study permit?
 
Hi guys, first congrats for everyone that get your study permit!

Anyway, I am almost in the same situation as MrEnergy, except I am Indonesian.
If I will be applying for Study Permit in LA, will they need to interview me in person?
if yes, the problem is that I don't have a visa to enter the USA. :(

NO, I am not a USA resident, I am an Egyptian, currently a visitor to Canada,
it is so difficult to fly 18 hrs to Egypt to apply, so I thought to apply at the USA, as it i the nearest country,

Just wondering about applying study permit online. I am from Korea and currently live in Canada as a visitor. I tried to apply online but when I choose "Canada" for current country of residence, it doesn't let me use the online application. Is there a way that I can apply online? Thank you in advance!!
 
Hey guys. Im submitting my application from Canada through mail. Can someone explain to me how to pay teh VAC-LA fees from here? ???
