I would like to caution All AINP H1B applicants soliciting advise on this forum to
also talk to AINP Hotline directly before taking any advise on this forum
at face value. I have always consulted this hotline several times before applying
and even after getting nominated. They have been very helpful and are right source to seek.
http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/campaigns/h1b.html

"If you have any questions, please contact the Immigrate to Alberta Information Service; toll free in Alberta at 1-877-427-6419 and outside of Alberta at 1-780-427-6419 or email us at immigration.info@gov.ab.ca"

One more suggestion, applicants are requested go through this entire thread discussion dating 7
- 8 months back.
Seniors, veterans have already discussed and can answer many of your
questions. AINP requests applicants to refrain from calling only to ask on the status of the
application only... but the applicant is welcome (and should) to call and discuss on other
questions, doubts
that can have serious direct or indirect ramifications to AINP and CIC process.

Dear Friends,

I have sent my application today. I fall under NOC 2172 as I am a DBA. But prior to this, I was working as Senior System Analyst and having 1 year experience. I have included both the NOC on my application. My total US experience is 4 years.

Is any body working as a DBA with falls under the NOC 2172 and got a positive reply for alberta PNP.

Any help or suggestion is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ganesh

Has anyone who applied after 01-01-2009 heard any update from ALBERTA?

They have divided the application lot into two categories, Application recieved before January 2009 and Application recieved after January 1 2009 and they are processing as per "first come first serve" Basis.

Looks like things have piled up there... :-(

I don't know whether you recieved email or not but there were 1267 unread email in AINP Immigration email Inbox and they replied for 456 emails. Unfortunately you were not in those 456 emails.

It is a common sense, application was recieved on January 29 right! 1 weekend has passed, only 5 working days, I don't think you should expect anything less than 30-40 days.

Albertagoverner - jamesb111 who sent on Dec 12 '08 haven't heard anything yet & its almost more than 30-40 days for him.

I heard that it takes about a month to recieve a file number . Am not sure how long it takes further from there to recieve the invitation/nomination.

**Anybody please provide/contribue some dates numbers so we could have some statistics here.

File number entirely depends on volume of application. AT present they are sending email like;
"It may take upto 2 months before candidate is notified that application is recieved for process" Which means that they will take around 60 days and then while they put all info in Databse that's when your file number is generated by system, and eventually emailed to you. Second thing is that they have 4 program officers who read the application, fill the details in database and each application packet takes atleast 40-50 minutes to process (meanwhile sometimes they have to call USCIS or employer) So In a day they can maximum fill the 35 applications into Database if all 4 officers are working with same speed and no special complexity.

Any body know the latest file number and time line for processing the nomination.

If I were in your place I would wait till Feb 18th and then call them as it will be 2 months plus

Hi,
I have applied on 9th of Jan and they got the package on the 14th of Jan, 09. Then I send them an e mail, and this is what they said. .

It is taking upto 2 months for them to send an e mail that contains your file number. So you guys have to wait for atleast 2 months before you get an e mail from them notifying you if they have generated a file number (Thats is everything is fine with your forms and additional supporting documents).

On the date you get the file number it will take another 2-3 months for them to give an approval or otherwise. So its a 5 months process at max from the date they get your package.

It is still faster than waiting for a US green card. and believe me it is worth it when you land in Canada , I say this from experience as I have lived there for almost 5 years.
