If I start outland sponsorship while we both are in India and have plans to travel US on our visas. what happens to outland pr application?

Is it better to start outland pr application after landing in USA?

Please share if anyone faced similar situation.

We have work visas for US and stay for a while until spouse outland PR application gets approved.

Can I submit PR application while I'm in India or has to wait until landed in US?

You can submit while in India, advise change if address while in USA, no impact on application.

Thanks for your response!

Do I need to be physically in Canada to submit outland PR application for spouse? or I can submit while in India now?

Sorry, I misunderstood one thing: that you are a PR (I just jumped over that). My mistake because it's important.

As a PR, you have to apply from within Canada, and you have to be resident in Canada throughout the spousal sponsorship process (short trips abroad are ok). How strictly they enforce this is never clear, but your plan to reside abroad while your spouse's PR application proceeds is clearly outside the bounds of this; I can't say they'll refuse, cancel or serious delay the app, but they can.

It doesn't matter whether the PA (your spouse) is in India or USA.
