A couple of questions for my fellow applicants to ADVO:

1- Once the file is transferred to ADVO, how long does it take them to start working on it? Do they normally send AOR2(without additional document requests) ?
2- Does eCase change to "in process" under the "Permanent Residence Application Status" section ?
3- Is the communication with the ADVO usually done via mail or email ?

Inside or Outside Canada ? For outside canada as long as you can provide sufficient proof that your sponsor will return back with the applicant back to Canada, I do not see an issue.

Impresso outside canada we both living in uae my wife is canadian citizen .. she is living with me right after our marriage from 15/01/2015 and we will move there immediately once they will issue me visa. furthermore for proves we provided a letter and bank statement of canada only one asset we have in canada on her name and already mentioned in the letter that we will stay at mother in law place.

Any other senior advise from your side? please?

Give it upto 3 months from the time you got your Sponsorship Approval - If they do not need anything, they may not contact you at all until the very end. All the best.

Anybody has experience with the police check from Kuwait per CIC:
"Citizenship and Immigration Canada will send you a letter requesting a police certificate after you send your Application for Permanent Residence. You must bring that letter when you apply for a Police Certificate.

Name of document(s) to get: Good Conduct Certificate

Curious about the procedure, when do we get this "letter" and how long does it take to get the police certificate once we apply for it. Thanks.

hi aldashti! Ur wife should go first in embassy of Canada in Daiya and ask a letter for police clearance and when u reach at the counter there is a prepared letter already at the counter they will give it to you without any questions and fill it up and u can go to police station in Dajeej for electronic fingerprinting and after 10days u can have ur police certificate...

Hi Guys,
Please help me if anyone have the same case with me.


My wife working in Canada since 2008. Presently she has an open permit and our PR is under process.
My Case:

I was sponsored as a spouse under Live-in care giver program and submitted a complete document in Abu dhabi Canadian Embassy, since I'm working here in Doha Qatar.

Online Servises: CIC Abudhabi received my application since July 2013 but until now there is no progress no medical.
My step children finished there medical last March 2014 in Philippines and my Daughter which is in canada as a tourist living with my wife finished the medical last April 2014 in Toronto.
Please Is there anyone of you same case with me. CIC abu dhabi processing time supposedly it will take 13 months but now my case is almost 24 months? I did not receive any update with regards to my medical. In the onlline services it only shows Application received.
Please advice me what to do? My step children are already eager to see there mother and I'm causing their delay.

hi benvincent!! We're in the same boat here... My husband also is under the caregiver program and he's application for PR was received on Oct.2013. I finished my medical exam last March 2015 until now also there is no PPR from cic... My husband already again applied for renewal of open permit this April until now for us no good news... I don't know why they are taking it too long to give us a PR visa... This is too much already... Ur not the only one suffering for this.. Let's just pray and wait... That is the only thing we can do for now...
