Most probably, you would not be given the TRV by the Embassy of Canada as you have an open file with CIC but no harm in applying.

I am not sure of the rules and regulation in KSA - but you have strong grounds to visit your family plus if you are working full time I dont see why you wouldn't get a visit visa.

I would apply in person/or at least get an interview to speak to an immigration officer - provide enough evidence that you would return back to KSA and also to prove that your wife is pregnant . Let us know how it goes.

I applied for TRV in Feb 2013 (in-person at the Embassy) and in Sept 2013 (through VFS, Abu Dhabi) and got rejected both times.

My PR application was submitted only in Dec 2013 and in April 2014 I applied for TRV in the Abu Dhabi Embassy (in-person again) and got a 2 year multiple-entry visa to Canada. I included a letter explaining how my TRV got rejected twice and hence we had to travel to another destination to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I also mentioned that we both missed each other at Christmas & New Year and wanted to celebrate Easter together as a family. I specifically mentioned that we had gotten SA and I would return after my holiday to complete the PR process and will not over-stay. At the counter too I begged with the Visa Officer to let me travel to Canada and how I missed my husband and 2 weeks later I got my PP with the visa stamped!

I think you should write to them saying that you want to be with your wife during the pregnancy and show proof that you are currently employed and will return after her delivery.

I will go for in-person definitely..Thanks for letting me know what should i include in the letter..I will complete my application and submit. Will let you all know the outcome, positive i hope.

I too think that the ADVO sends an AOR only if they need additional documents submitted. Else PPR is the next step when they are ready to issue the visa.

Sounds like it is a good and a bad thing at the same time - Because you really dont know what is going on - Hopefully we all move to the PPR stage (God Willing )

Yes indeed we are in the same boat - You are hitting almost 2 months after your SA and I am hitting almost 3 months, and haven't heard anything yet.

According to the previous time lines of the members, AOR is received within 2-3 months after SA . If we do not hear from them in 2-3 months for AOR or ADR, should we just assume that we are in good books ? What do you guys think ?

Ya - and you also got your Notes, which doesn't tell you much and it was last updated in May. I guess it is only a matter of time and for us to have patience.

Provide CIC with these additional docs ASAP and hopefully they would themselves extend your Medicals and accordingly send you PPR.

Hey guys quick question, the abu dhabi office asked for my husbands passport, 2 photos and proof I'm stilll residing in Canada. Now they have received this all since August 10th 2014. I have emailed them several times just asking if they received it or not, we didn't get anything back and no updates online. I just want an idea of how Long they can keep his passport for? My husband is a little worried because getting a new passport is a little difficult for him to get. If you could help that would be great!
