hi guys!

After having done my medical last November 20, I got an email from VO for passport request and letter same like as a guidelines and indicating the required documents to be submitted and stated the validity of my visa which is valid till November 2014, anyway God is Great! my partner and I were very grateful we never thought that it will take only 6months to finalized our application to think that we applied for "Conjugal Partner Sponsorship" You guys just keep on believing and trust God.

mrsldr,
It is not mentioned in the letter that I have to cancel my Bahrain residence prior to issuance of my CA visa. I hope this gives you a peace of mind.

Thank you.

God Bless ! :)

unfortunately, my ecas says only " we started processing your application......November 18" so i guess we should not really rely on it, it helps yes but it is not so reliable..its better to check your email every now and then :)

How long does it take to receive an email letting you know that the application is received in Abudhabi after the initial one saying they sent it abroad?????

never... they never email you about these things... at least that's what happened to me... i only saw it on the CMS saying "We received your application for permanent residence on XXXX"... they are quite unprofessional, so hang in there and expect a lot of 'back-and-forth' regarding requesting of documents and other BS of such sort...

I agree with rippleeffect :) just keep on checking your email every now and then because you never know when it will happen.

as for me, they requested for my passport already last week as my visa is ready but on my ecas says "medical has been received" ...ecas is a little bit delayed in updating things on your papers. :)

But don't worry, in God's perfect time, you will hear from them soon :) just keep on praying !

God Bless :)

Thank you all for the replies. So basically, i won't know anything unless they ask for documents or I order the CMS notes. :( thats nerve racking. It has only been 2 months, so i don't think the notes will give much info yet.

you're welcome! what's CMS notes? and 2 months is nothing compared to the amount of time a lot of other people have waited... I wish you all the best and hope you get it asap... check your email as often as possible... I got an email in September that kinda threatened me that they will reject my application saying that they requested for additional documents in May and that i didn't respond... I dunno through which medium they sent through the request... I didn't get any email, OR mail by post in May... I constantly checked my emails and ofcourse if i get something on my postal address, i'd get it... these people are unprofessionals, and there are chances of them losing documents etc from ur file too... heard a lot of people complaining that they requested for the same documents that were provided to them (eg. medical tests, police clearance etc)... and re-sending these documents take time as well as money... i just dun understand why we have to pay the price of sum lazy ass government employee who loses people's documents from mere lousiness and carelessness... clearly canada is fully trying to discourage people from going there... i mean really, how much time do u need to process one application FFS? its all electronic... put in the data, get approvals and get the shit done already... after all you guys are professionals, and you went on a strike to get 'fairly compensated' for you fuc*** "professionalism"!

its been 10 months now and nothing from them yet... I know a lot of people are gonna tell you to be positive and patient bla bla... but u can only be so much patient... i recommend just moving on wid your life and not to stress much about ur application... just take decisions that you would have taken assuming you never applied for going to canada... when it happens it will happen, otherwise, you should just carry on with your current life...
