hi guys... checked my e-cas status and they have updated it today... until today it said 'application received'... but today, after 9 months, it said 'in process'... now on an average, how long do they take after they say 'in process'?

Guys,

I received a call from VO last 19th September and she asked about some information about our relationship and send me an email asking for the additional documents, but when I checked on my ecas, nothing has been changed... so I guess we must not rely that much on ecas as sometimes delays are here and there. Lets just pray and keep our faith that God is with us in this journey, be positive :)

Good luck !

Ma Salama!!!

Hi viv123_99_2000, Congratulations!! And thanks for posting your timeline! Its really helpful. I find my timeline very similar to yours. This is mine:
App Filed - Feb 04,2013
AOR received - May 22,2013
Requested for additional docs - May 22,2013

My e-cas changed to in process in 3rd week of october and it says that my application is being processed as of 6th October 2013.
Was the procedure similar for you? And most importantly, how long did it take post the change of status in e-cas?
Thanks very much for your help!

Hi S.J.K...

may I know you nationality please if you don't mind? My e-cas also changed to 'in process' in the last week of October and it said they started processing my case on the 21st of the october... However, my timeline doesn't match with either of you two... Wish you all the best...

Cheers

I am currently residing in Qatar and my wife (my sponsor) in Canada... we both filled the whole thing... and i sent her the whole package from Qatar... and she submitted my application in Toronto toward the end of December 2012. she got her approval to sponsor me within 7 days and my application was received by the Abu Dhabi office on 27th of January 2013 (that is what my e-cas says).. and since then my e-cas status have been showing 'application received' until recently (end of October), when it changed to 'in process'... in this 8 months time, they have asked for additional documents etc... I personally think there is no specific pattern that you will see in their working progress... it really is random... totally depends on each case... some people get stuck in their police clearance phase, while other may get stuck in their medical... who knows... just stay put and pray for the best... inshah - Allah you will get there soon...

Hey, I agree with TheRippleEffect. Each case has its own timeline. This is mine:
Application filed in Toronto: 4th February 2013
SA & File moved to local VO: March 28th, 2013 (This is what the call center told my husband, & then his e-cas showed Decision Made)
AOR from local VO & Request for Additional Documents: May 22nd 2013
'In Process' on e-cas for me(applicant): Oct 21st 2013 (But says in process since Oct 6th 2013)

Now back to the waiting game :(

visaquestions ,

Under no circumstances you should make a false statement in your application.

She should state she's coming to visit her fiancé. Depending her job in UAE and ties to the residing country, VO will grant her visitor visa. She needs to leave Canada before her visa expires. Any violation of Canadian immigration rules will lead to delaying your immigration application.

I am in your situation as well, so instead of finding shortcuts, we are going through the process. The advantage I am having is, we have been in a relationship for 3 years and my wife studied in Canada. (That's how we met each other).

In my case, she applied for visitors' visa stating she wants to visit her fiancée (At that time we were engaged). When she was here, we got registered and now we are going through the process. We will hold a wedding next year.

I know it sounds like a sweet deal your fiancée can live with you till her PR gets processed, but it doesn't work to the favor of us most of the time. The right path is the longer one..

Thanks a lot b0465682,
but we don't intend on her over staying her visa at all. She'll go back home prior to her visa expiring.
Though I am wondering, is it possible to apply for an extension on her visa while she is on her trip here? Or does she HAVE to go back to the UAE, to apply for another visit visa?
Thanks again for the advice, under no circumstances do any of us intend to lie or provide false information.

Hello Everyone,

I can tell you one thing that Abu Dhabi is very fast. Good Luck to everyone :)

Hi SJK... did u hire a lawyer or something of that sort? your case was done fairly fast...

My wife went to request for medical but all clinics asked her to get a request letter from the Embassy in Abu Dhabi. We submitted the application without meds and I got the Sponsorship approval already and the file has been transferred to the abu dhabi VO.

We contact the VO to request the letter but nothing fruitful has come through this communication. Just want to know has anyone faced the same dilemma and how they sort it out. Did the clinics provide you medical results without these requests?
