wow brownie... this is great news! i am sooo happy for you... congrats and alhamdulillah! it seems like there isn't any specific pattern or like consistency in which manner the visa offices work... i turned in mine in dec 2012... nothing so far except for my wife's letter of acceptance for her being the sponsor... i guess it also depends on how u submit your documents... i submitted everything altogether... medical police clearance everything... let's see... its definitely a good news tho that people are getting responses amidst the strike... it only means that the strike is not completely affecting the processing works... thanks brownie for sharing the good news... :D all the best...

That is correct there isn't any specific pattern... just depends on your documents and which visa officer gets your file... I also submitted everything together... my wife should have gotton her visa at the time of her interview but just because her medical expired 2 months ago she had to wait another week or so... but with this news theres hope for everyone... :)

hi brownie! did you submit your wife's medical along with your full application package? cause that's what i did too but not a lot of ppl did it this way... they usually wait for their medical request... and then send it when the V/O asks for it...

I sent it with all the documents the every first time but it was done last year in May so it expired at the end of May this year but I got her to do it again before her interview just in case they request one...

I did that to minimize the process time... other wise after the interview i had to wait for them to ask for a medical then request the passport and take up 2 more months to get everything done.. .

Yes we did the medical in may of 2012 but only applied in 2013... she's Pakistani... i went thru a lawyer so all emails came to him... but in your case the emails or letter should be coming to the person who's being sponsored... no worries... i can answer all your questions because many people here helped me out...

that's real fast browni!

Lets pray that all VO will be the same as yours when giving immediate favourable decision and fast action :)

I checked my ecas and still got no luck :( application status is "application received" .

Most of you guys here inculded medical, when my partner and i applied the sponsorship at that time as per the cic website medical will be requested by the embassy upon receiving the application. So am i going to receive the medical request soon? They have received (AUH Embassy) our file last May 29, 2013 and till now no medical request from them :( Shall we send an email inquiry with regards to that? or shall we wait?

Does it really takes time for it?

Im so worried but reading all the previous successful stories on this forum makes me feel better. And most of you guys took only 10months and got an approval.

Hi scoobydoo,

in my ecas status it says the following:

Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on January 27, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

as you can see it also mentions tht they have received my medical status... don't know how much this will help you...

thanks ripple..

So i guess they have not open my file yet. I did not include the medical as we decided to wait for the medical request from VO instead. My question is : Does it take a lot of months before i receive medical request from them?especially right now that strike is going on?

Thanks

shall we send an email inquiry to AUH Embassy if they received our file? does anyone here received AOR from AUH? or immedaitely ecas will be changed once they received it and updated as well?

Does anyone here submitted their file without the medical?

Please let me know how many months you waited for the medical request from AUH Embassy after file has been received.

Thank you.
