Yes its true,and i asked CIC about my husband vacation ,she said yes he can as long as he will be available when CIC called him.I think wait for now scoobydoo till you got your PR.we are doing it too waiting..

I was planning to visit him on xmas holiday fro about 2months only and come back to Bahrain to continue my work. Just come to think of it the processing time for Abudhabi office is 19months and our application just applied last May 2013 so im expecting any response from them by next year only.

So what do you think guys,shall i proceed on visit visa application?

I applied for the visit visa but it got refused. They stated that Visa officer is not satisfies that you will return after the visit and you do not have enough ties to your country of residence. So I would say visit visa is not a good option.
My file also transferred to UAE on May 2013 and by looking at the timeline of our previous forum members it seems that most ppl got their application completed in 10 months.

Waiting..... is the only option we all have got.

really..that's disappointing..I've been living and working here in Bahrain for almost a decade already. What are the documents you submitted if you dont mind robotix..

and i just wanted to stay there for 2months and i will submit a return ticket along with a letter from from sponsor.

1) Application for TRV (Validated) and 5 bar codes shd be appear on 5th or last page...
2) Family information
3) Schedule 1 form
4) document checklist
5) visa application photos
6) Visa application fees
7) Proof of some funds in your country of residence
8) Copy of national ID card

Canadian/Sponsor or Invitee will be providing following documents

1) 4 bank statements
2) Temporary proposed ticket (atleast booking for 6 weeks)
3) Tax file + t4 Slip
4) Salary Slip
5) visa Invitation Letter (write a valid reason for her return's after 6 months... ) reason like job .. education....strong ties
6) Travel Health insurance
7) Declaration form from lawyer
8) If working then a support letter from his company
9) Copy of ur passport / citizenship card

I applied at the end up January got a reply by end of feb from abu dabhi the got a request for more documents in march and then a interview request for the 23rd of july and just today got the passport back..

I applied for PR not a visit Visa

So there's hope for all you and my dua's are with you people that everything gets done fast

Good for u both...that's really fast. My husband sent his complete documents on January 20 2013 but haven't heard anything from them

wow brownie... this is great news! i am sooo happy for you... congrats and alhamdulillah! it seems like there isn't any specific pattern or like consistency in which manner the visa offices work... i turned in mine in dec 2012... nothing so far except for my wife's letter of acceptance for her being the sponsor... i guess it also depends on how u submit your documents... i submitted everything altogether... medical police clearance everything... let's see... its definitely a good news tho that people are getting responses amidst the strike... it only means that the strike is not completely affecting the processing works... thanks brownie for sharing the good news... all the best...
