We recieved passport request on nov 10th and ecas changed to decision made today..

Hi everyone,

I'm a bit nervous because it seems everyone has been getting PPR or Request for additional documents....and we haven't heard anything on our file.

What's more...is that our file was first transferred to Amman after we got SA, and so I sent a number of case specific enquiries updating our info as we had moved. We also found out that we had said no on the question "refused admission into Canada" even though we said yes to "refused TRV", referencing the TRV file number. So one of the case specific enquiries was to update them on the answer to this question, as apparently if you have been refused a TRV for Canada, this also constitutes a a refusal of admission.

My worry...is that when I sent my enquiries (there were 4 in total because the supporting documentation would not fit into one) I only received a confirmation via email for 3....so I had sent another one summarizing the 4 we had sent and asked if they could let us know which one wasn't received (because there isn't a unique ID number for each inquiry).

Our file was then transferred to ADVO...

When I ordered GCMS notes, the file was actually in transit from Amman to ADVO (we didn't know it was going to be transferred when I ordered the GCMS notes). The only note indicating info received from us was the last enquiry we had sent about the previous 4 with one confirmation missing.

So...should I assume that they didn't receive the previous 4 - which has our new address (living not mailing) and in particular the update to the question on refusal of admission?

On top of all this, when we had applied, my husband had tried twice to get a PCC from the consulate in Dubai and they just told him to go to Syria. We explained all this in a letter that we included with our package. Then later (after we applied) we saw the posts from others who were successful in getting PCC from the embassy in Abu Dhabi. So my husband went there and applied for a PCC (although they don't give any receipt or acknowledgement of the application) and we are just waiting for it to come. I assume at some point, ADVO will ask us for this PCC...although they haven't yet.

So...I am wondering, should I re-submit those 4 previous case specific enquiries? or wait until we hear from them? I will be starting work in Dubai in Jan 2016 (I'm currently on a tourist visa at the moment) so will have to update them on my status anyways. I was planning to do that once I had the resident visa in hand.

Sorry for the long post...looking forward to some advice...please let me know what you think

Dont worry your application is on track
I sent my application in April and they just started working on it
You sent your application on june so probably within the next month you should hear somthing from them
You can always request gcms note to fine out what happened to your application, if you order the notes, it will state if they have received the case spesific inquiry you sent them

Ecas didn't change to DM until the 17th - the Tuesday after I got the email requesting passport copy and photographs.
