They also gave me 45 days to submit my documents and I couldn't get my NOA and asked to please give more time.... and that once I have it I will send it to them... I've just filed my taxes and its taken 4-6 weeks to get my NOA from Canada revenue agency..... I think you need more time as I did....
Even if you do find away to get the Saudi clearance you might run out of time,, send them what you have and write to them asking for more time.... hopefully it helps...

Do you still have a residency/Iqama in Saudi Arabia? My husband was also asked to provide a police certificate from KSA because he lived there for more than 6 months after the age of 18. However, they wouldn't give us a request letter even though we told them that it is required in Saudi Arabia to process the police clearance. Their reply was:
"That supporting letter is only applicable to current residents of Saudi.
The following are the procedures for obtaining Saudi police certificates for former residents:
- foreign national obtains application form from the website of local Saudi Embassy where the person is residing and gets fingerprints taken at the local police authority
- foreign national then gives the completed forms to his or her own embassy to transmit to their counterpart Embassy in Riyadh
- that embassy then approaches the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Interior Ministry on behalf of the client in order to get the police certificate done
- once processing is completed, the results are returned to that Embassy to return back to the applicant

However, this process doesn't really work. We contacted the Saudi embassy and our embassy and they both said they have nothing to do with this, so we are still stuck on this stage. The 45-day period is almost over and we don't know how we can get the certificate from Saudi.

yes I applied on August 10th 2012,, and Abu Dhabi received my application on Sep 20th 2012, document request was dec 4th,,, and my husband's Dubai clearance expired in August 2012 however, when they sent the additional document request they didnt ask my husband to get another clearance. They really do work in mysterious ways....

Who knows snowman,, maybe they might ask for our clearances near the end when they are ready to issue the visa...

We submitted our application 1 month ahead of you but how come we haven't heard any from the VO.. They are really mysterious...

I got my NOA in twoo weeks last time I asked for it, though they also told me it will be 4-6 weeks waiting... You might get it sooner...

hey snowman,,,thanks for the reply's, yeah my accountant said 4-6 weeks,, he said he couldn't NETFILE due to some odd reason.. I think its because he mentioned he can only use NETFILE starting in September or something,,,, have no idea and confused about that.. I really wanted him to do it that way so that I can get my NOA in two weeks as well.... we paper filed ours... so I dont think I can get mine that quickly as yours.... but who knows.... CRA received my tax documents on the 8th of January, hopefully they work on it fast....

When did you submit your application to CIC? I know NBI clearance is valid for 1 year. Is your application over a year already? My husband's Saudi police clearance was issued around June2012, I don't know how long is the validity. But we never heard any yet from the VO. MOreover, we did not submit any CENOMAR too, only marriage contract from NSO. I better ask for it now as they might ask us too.. How did you get your CENOMAR that fast if you are still in middle east?

We submitted our application last May 16, 2012, received by Mississauga office on May 17, 2012. My fault, we didn't included the NBI clearance, and my police clearance in Saudi was expired last November because it was valid only for 6 months. I've sent all the requirements via DHL including the NBI form Phil. consulate with my fingerprints then asked my sister to request for Cenomar and renew my NBI clearance at the same time, so we can save time. My sister requested CENOMAR online and addressed it to her office, the time she received the copies sent a scanned copy for me and then sent the original copies here in Jeddah via same courier. At first I was confused about the Cenomar, because I thought that its not possible to get cenomar since I'm already married. But then it was explain here in this forum that even if u request for cenomar, NSO will issue the Certification of Marriage.

Yes. exactly! we just have to hope for a good news this year!... Did you happened to submit your additional papers via DHL? Cuz i checked their website and saw this: Delivered and signed-- Abu dhabi, Dubai? Isn't Abu dhabi and dubai were different? They were both in UAE but different. I asked the customer serv. and said it was in Abu dhabi so maybe it was in Abu dhabi office not in Dubai office!
This is too hard! Waiting for the application is really making me paranoid and crazy!

yah same here nothing has changed even a single update after receiving the additional docu.. we just have to wait for the good news... Hope that it's coming soon! Then we will all be with our loved ones!
