Hello,
It's been 3 months since I met my girlfriend, she's a permanent resident, and we want to live together, but my WHV finishes on September, so we have decided to marry.
The problem is that there is a point that says that she has to provide me financial support, but she is not working at this moment because she is still studing at university. And also they don't specify what does it means, and they say there's no minimum incomce.
Her family has a lot of money, that would be enough? But we don't want to use them.
Right now I have a full-time job, and my salary is 40K/year before taxes. They would not count this?
And if she works part-time, that would be enough?
And also, if we get married I will be able to work before getting a PR Card, won't I? In around 5-6 months after marrying?
I also have savings. Around 20000 canadian dollars
Thank you!
EDIT:
We have been together almost everyday since we met in January (we don't live together but we have seen each other almost everyday). And we can prove that. Isn't that enough, really?
EDIT 2:
I'm not interested in PR Card, I want to marry her and be able to work with that Work Permit until she gets canadian citizenship.
Also, if we marry in may-june it would be 4-5 months.
Also, she is from Iran, so it's a fact that we can not stay as boyfriend/girlfriend because of her culture. We can use this as an argument?
PS: What I still can not understand is how non genuine couples get married and get PR Card, and with my relationship that is genuine it seems that difficult
