Only those who hold Canadian Passport can cross the border to the U.S. The rest (PR, TRV, Student Visa, Foreign Workers etc.) will need to apply for a visa.

This is very true... kasi Philippine passport pa ang carry ng mga Permanent Residence... pero pag CC ka na at may Canadian passport pwede ka na kahit saan. It seems iba talaga ang treatment pag galing thirdworld country. ::) ::)

Sa mga nasa Canada na po. I have a question. For example, ma-grant ako ng visa before November (hay sana nga Lord, plsss :P) then I go to Canada as soon as I get my visa. Then, by January 2012, hubby and I were planning to go back to the Philippines for our friend's wedding, mga 3 weeks lang naman then balik na uli sa canada. Will there be any problem if less than 2 months lang ako nagstay sa Canada then babalik na ulit sa Pinas? Thanks ;D

Like everyone said, YES you can go back to the Phils as soon as you want. But be mindful, depending what province you are, they might take away your Health Card. When my mom landed in Ontario she had to go back to the Phls shortly after her third month for some personal reason. In ontario, you can apply for health card after you stayed for 3 mos and have to be in Ontario for 6mos to keep your health card. For absence of over 6mos (example are those who study or work outside canada) can apply for extension. Since my mom just landed, her health card was taken away. One reason most HC holders leave Canada and come back before the sixth month is so they will not lose their health card. Otherwise you can stay outside Canada as long as you want but within the number of days you are permitted to qualify for keeping your residency. My mom usually stay in the Phils for a year then a year in Canada but everytime she comes back she has to reapply for her health card.
Sorry wants2b, it is overwhelming at this point and I know your main concern is your PR but your health card is maybe something you may want to know too in regards to your plan to leave Canada after you just landed :)

RIght, but the issue is commercial transportation will need your PR Card. Going to the United States is fine because you can always go by land with your own car going back to Canada.......
ask ko lng po sana papano mo malalaman na natanggap na nila yong medical result mo sa CEM,according too nationwide health system they forwarded last august 25 2011

Ecas shows Medical Received, it appeared last August 12. But I had my medical exam last April 4-5 and DMP told me that they already forwarded it after 2 days. :)

Thanks arian! I will take note of that.

To everyone who answered my question, thanks a lot. This forum is really helpful. ;D

Mention in the letter when the TRV was filed, refused, and the reason for refusal. State also the reason why you over-looked to include this information in your application. Some forumers included the refusal letter but IMO an explanation would suffice. :) :)

Thanks Raniloc! Hubby is afraid na baka daw maging disadvantage pa ang pagsesend ng pahabol na explanation. He wants to call the embassy muna and ask about it. Pero, we're preparing the letter na rin in case na ok lang magsend. What's the status pala ng sa yo, Sis? visa na lang ba hinihintay mo? Thank you. ;D

May naddm ba ng wed?

Sorry sis but calling the embassy will not work as they do not entertain phone calls.. their manpower resources are prioritizing visa processing.
You may try the call center in Canada.
