hi!...nareceive ko narin ang 1st letter ng embassy..which is they are asking the same thing NSO birth,AOM, PP and Appendix A..I got 3 pages here..then yung Appendix A ang pang 3rd page..baka hindi lng naisama ng officer ang appendix A form..hopefully bukas isesend ko na hinihingi nila..sana nman mag reply sila agad..

hay buti ka pa may feedback na from CEM, ako wala padin..

Continuation of B: To renew or apply for passport at Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) certificate from Seminar B is required

To avoid delay of visa processing, make sure all fees were paid, and all documents were submited.

Additional documents usually requested by the embassy:
1. AOM (Advisory on Marriage) from NSO- different from Marriage Certificate; should be submitted at CPC-Missassauga together with other required documents at Country Specific Instructions-Philippines http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3905e.pdf
2. Divorce Petition- different from Divorce Certificate; usually requested from Filipino sponsors who are divorced based on experiences of posters in this forum. (For natural-born Canadian sponsors who are divorced, seems that they don't ask from you, but pls confirm at CEM)
3. Appendix A- or Additional Family Information; though submitted previously, they will still ask a copy; the letter usually comes with the AOR/PPR

Hello Filipinos and Filipinas!

Regarding the Police Clearance.

We are currently living in Boracay.

Is this the same Police Clearance that somebody would have to require in order to get a job. And are able to get at any police station?

On the CIC website it has a link to the NBI, and it says the closest NBI is in Iloilo which is a 5 hour bus ride from here...ugh!
So we're wondering if it must be NBI or the local police station here, and if there is a difference between those 2.

Also she is from Pangasinan. The NBI office in that province is in Dagupan. If we must go to the NBI, does it make a difference if we go to Iloilo or Dagupan or any other?

Oh and if anyone knows how much this will cost us that would be great to know also!

It's the NBI clearance that's needed. If I'm not mistaken it costs 115pesos. The NBI clearance for use within the Philippines is color yellow; while the one for VISA CANADA which she needs is Green.

It's easy to get one. Just show any valid I.d or a resident certificate.

She can get NBI Clearance to the NBI office closest to your place. You don't need the police clearance from the police station.

Haaaayyyyy....salamat! I went NSO to apply for my BC and for my son also the AOM...kuha ko na BC namin mag-ina AOM to be release next week....kapagod talaga kumuha docs sa government...dami hassle....dami pang-asar na mga filipino mga pasaway ba! may pila na nga sisingit pa kahit sabihin sa likod ang pila pupunta pa sa gitna para isiksik ang sarili...it's not fair for those applicants na galing pa sa malayo at lumuwas ng sobrang aga para lang mauna but then may mga kababayan tayo na talaga namang pasaway!...siguro naman walang ganun sa CANADA noh! haaayyyyy.... anyway, sana sa mga kukuha pa lang ng docs sa NSO mga 5am pila na kayo para sure slot at di masira araw nyo...I arrived 5.30am this morning pero more than 300 na tao...goodluck sa inyo guys! Tama ka mrsh...115 po NBI...I went to NBI satellite office this morning to renew mine...dami tao, pero ako sandali lang, siguro advantage pag may NBI Card ka bilis ko 5 mins lang tapos na ako pero dami pila sa labas mga first timer at for renew ..pag wala ka NBI Card manual renew ang gagawin nila ang tagal parang lahat ng steps dadaanan mo. Green po color ng VISA CANADA.

BTW send ko sya via DHL...ok lang kaya mag-aatach letter correcting my name? kasi mispelled name ko sa letter na pinadla nila even sa e-CAS mali..

Pa visa stage na yan..
The more they requested for addtl docs the more na tumatagal..
You can trace sa ibang timeline pag walang addtl request, visa agad.
sabi kasi upon completion of doc 2 to 3 months lang VISA na...

specify mo kung anung documents ang isusubmit mo...
whether notorized or authenticated...
parang page(letter) lang ng list of documents included on ur package
sign mo na din...


about your concern about mispelled name, include mo na rin sa letter mo na nag request ka na rin na icorrect nila ang name mo based sa pp o bc mo.

minsan depende din namn sa VO who's handling ur case..
sken napahigpit may nakalimutan akong inotorized, they sent me request na magsend ako ulit but notorized na..
it depends sa luck din ...hehehe...
