There is NO WAY. Either pay in Canada or perhaps your wifev has Fil health and have the baby in The Philippines.

ok this is what i suspected. we considered having the baby in phils but as per the visa, she needs to be in Canada by April 13.

when is her due date? cause if she get here then 4more months to before delivery then she can have her health card after 3 months. or the other option is to go manitoba do you have relatives here? cause if she lands right away she can get her manitoba health :) (you can get manitoba health as soon as you land) thats the only way ithink the easiest hehe... sounds crazy but no choice. Your wife have her visa already right? if she deliver her baby in phil you have no way to get the baby cause she already got the visa which is i believe not declaring changes before the visa released was leading to misrepresentation you supposed to tell the immigration that your wife was pregnant and expecting delivery in (date) so they'll know u guys expecting the baby. she have no choice but to land so you have options to pay the delivery or you wont get your baby.

Hi to all of you very patient people.

I am from Montreal, my wife resides in Quezon City.

We got married April 2010 and started the process of gathering all documents, etc in May, last September I received from my wife's sister in Dubai the last piece of documents we were missing her police clearance as my wife worked in Dubai it was also requested.

Sept 29th 2010 - Application sent to CIC in Mississauga
Ocotber 27th 2010 - Decision made with the CIC- approved
November 09th 2010 - Application transfered to Manila Visa office
November 22nd 2010 - Manila office requests my wife and her son's passport along with all my divorce papers since I was previsoulsy married, and letter of explanation regarding the father of her son.

December 18th 2010 - All divorce papers received by my wife, divorce draft agreement + divorce certificate, my wife's letter of explanation + solo parent certificate and their passports.

December 22nd 2010 - She sent all to the embassy by courier.
January 11th 2011 - Online status updated to " in process " regarding her permanent residency, saying also medical received.

Now can someone tell me how long it shold be now? Medical is received, they have their passports they can not keep their passports forever...

pag "in process" ba, ilang months bago ma DM?

elo edmon,

in my opinion, case to case basis talga and depende if convinced ang visa officer sa mga docs ninyo mas maaga ka ma DM..
in my case twice nila ako hiningan ng documents and not the same time...one lacking docs i think ma delayed ka namn ng another 1 and a half month... ;D

hmm.. it seems you are in the last stage we have the same status :) hope we got DM by next week :)

Update your time line.

I guess If you showed up at a Canadian hospital, they could not refuse you service. But I would try and sort it ouy, I know in BC you can pay the govt premium and still have coverage.

Congrats on your visa.
