Hi!

I am planning to update my name (married name) once I arrived in Canada. I am still processesing the documents needed for my application. However, will I have any problem with getting Police Clearance? Is it ok to keep my maiden name? Pero ilalagay ko married? Thanks

Which police clearance? Singapore or Philippines? It is your choice to keep your maiden name at all times if you wish to. If you are married though, your status should be Married.

Both singapore and Philippines.

I also want to get Police clearance from philippines through singapore embassy. I got confused with the following instruction:

c.) In case you are a married woman, the order of writing your name is as follows:

c.1) Your maiden surname (father’s surname).
c.2) Your husband’s surname.
c.3) Your first name or given name.
c.4) Your maternal surname (family name of your mother)

But I won't be changjng my name though

Where did you see this? Format for Police Clearance in Singapore? How far are you now on the application? Almost done? Are you coming back to Philippines? I think you mentioned that you are on a temporary work in Singapore? If you are not that close yet in finishing your application, you might want to just wait and apply later to get your NBI clearance. As earlier mentioned, you may opt to keep your maiden name except your status. However for NBI clearance, it would automatically show already your married name. This is fine, even if your passport and other IDs still shows your maiden name, remember that you have a Marriage Certificate that you can show as proof that you are Married. Were you married here in Philippines? Pasensya na sa dami ng tanong :)

Thanks for your responses. I am just starting - gathering documents, still haven't filled out the application forms. Yes, I am on temporary work in Singapore but I am working on finding a new job. I prefer working here while waiting. I was married in the Philippines. With regards to NBI clearance, either I can request online and have an authorized person to claim it in Manila or I get from PHL Embassy in SG.

Hi guys kindly help me please. Regarding medical examination, do we need to wait for the assigned clinic or we can go to any of the accredited clinic and undergo medical examination so that we can submit the medical result together with the other required documents/forms?

Thank you so much for your inputs.
