Just my opinion guys

I don’t like the way CIC handles passport request and hold it for 5 months or more. This is very unfair for those applicants who will travel abroad right after they have submitted their passports because they have no idea when they will receive it back. It would be nicer if they will notify the applicants with regards to the date of the passport return or just return it after 10 day just like the way they handle visa stamping for nominees.

Always welcome :)

Hello guys. So this is my timeline:

Oct. 30.- sent to mississauga
Dec. 18 - sponsorship in process (ECAS)
Dec..19 - AOR email received
SA.- NOTHING...... Supposedly 1st week of January as per usual timeline of the majority...

Then no SA email whatsoever! I heard that it should only take about less than 70days to get SA after submission but I have an impression that our application has been ignored. I know someone who got her SA on Dec 29 '15 and she submitted her application Oct 26. Now her papers are here in Manila and ECAS in process. Just four days ahead of my submission!. So frustrating. We called CIC and as usual, helpless saying that 65days is only the average. Hello, mine is going 90days still no SA?

We almost got the same timeline. Im an october 29 applicant. My sponsor received his SA on january 14 dated january 5 by snail mail. You should receive it by now since 1 day lang naman gap natin. Try to check mailbox baka thru mail din. Or nacheck mo na ecas mo ?? IN PROCESS na ba sa PR side or Application Received pa din?

No.. As long as you inform CIC right away when you change information.. So here's the answer to your question:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=303&t=3

Thank you destiny23 :) the link is very helpful..

But some people here on these forum telling me to wait tell my application complete then I can file for change of any name and renew my passport with the new name. This whole process is a bit of nightmare to me. :(.
I really appreciate the link you provide here, its pretty clear and specific answer.

Wala nareceive si sponsor na SA by snail mail. So it's true that they send SA either by email or snail mail pala. My ECAS permanent resident application is still application received which means wala pa talaga SA.

hi, question lang. if you applied for a canada visit visa before u got married and u get refused, is it a big deal, will it affect your application or slower the app due to background checking?

Hello hannsetch feeling ko hindi naman kasi ako na refused ako mag visit pero kasal na kmi and after nun nag apply nlng kmi ng pr yung passport ko nasa cem na nung july 2015 pa..

Is anyone here applying/applied TRV and got approved? and may I know how to apply it and what are those requirements that I have to provide?

My case here is I don't have work to provide any employment letter or anything with regards work and our Outland Sponsorship Application is on process. But my husband and his family are willing to taking care all the expenses and not to be a burden financially to Canada. Plus my husband is approved as my Sponsor and got AOR 2 from CEM. Is there any possibility for the approval of TRV?

Any suggestion that can help was really appreciated. Thank you.
