Hi! Newbie lang po ako sa forum na to. Sino po and May applicant dito? Tanong ko lang po situation namin ng husband ko. We filed for spouse visa last May 2015 and started processing June 2015. Nakareceive kami via email na approved na husband ko for sponsorship last june then nag start and process sakin nung august hiningan po ako ng Appendix A and passport.

We have the exact same time line. Send application in May, CEM asked for Appendix A and original passport on Aug. So far no update at all. I did emailed them, but received the generic email.

Hi Members,

Please respond.
My dad received PPR request.

I have sponsored my parents and they have recently got the letter below. The letter asks the applicant, my dad, to inform if anyone included in the application is pregnant as per below. My wife who is not in the application is pregnant and I am the sponsor. Does my dad, the applicant, has to inform the visa office that my wife is pregnant?

Any valuable comments would be appreciated.

Dear Applicant, (My Dad's Name)**********:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence. To finalize your application, we require:

1) Passports

Please provide passports or travel documents for yourself and each accompanying dependant, along with a copy of this letter, to the visa office in New Delhi. Please see the VFS Visa Application Centre (India) website for details on how to transmit your passports to the Canadian High Commission.

3) Change in Circumstances

Should any of the following circumstances apply to you (or any person included in your application), you must inform this office immediately:

· Change in marital status, for example due to marriage, divorce, annulment or death;

· Death of applicant, dependant of sponsor/assisting relative;

· Birth of a child and/or pregnancy (please provide expected date of confinement);

· Change in health;

· The laying of criminal charges or conviction for a criminal offence;

My husband even email them kung natanggap ba nila yung passport ko bec. we're afraid na hindi sa kanila nakarating. They replied naman na nakuha nga nila.
We're hoping that we can spend our 1st anniversary together this coming end of december but sadly mukhang hindi yun mangyayari. Parang walang nangyayari sa process.

Hi! It's not always the case. In my case, passport is already with the embassy since June 1 so it's exactly 6 months now.

Same here. Me and my wife got married last Dec as well. I was contemplating whether I should go home this January, but with work and audit coming up, we need to prepare at work early. A bunch of people here got their DM this month. I use them as a way to figure out how far are we in the processing. I think in the next two months, we will get our DM.

Hello :) just want to asked, for how long do I need to stay in Canada (for new immigrant/permanent resident) before I can go back here in the Ph? Since VOH na po and planning to celebrate Xmas and New Year there but need to go back in Ph for our daughter. Do I need to wait for my PR card before going home or not necessarily? TIA :)

You just have to wait for your PR card na dumating before ka makauwi ulet sa Pinas.. ksi hindi ka mkkabalik kung wala nun..I think more than a month bago dumating ang PR card from the day na dumating ka dito sa Canada..

I dont think you need to inform them about your wife's situation kasi hindi sya ksali sa application.. It's only for those na part ng application.. But just to make sure, you can call the immigration here sa Canada and ask them..

Hello bubbly00

Hi. Just want to confirm that you haven't receive anything yet since they transferred your file last year? Did you not do an upfront medical examination?

Some of the folks here were very fortunate to have received quick positive responses from CEM.

Good luck to all of us.

didnt received anything after the file transfer to manila.... meron medical request along with the sponsor approval..
expired na medical last november 17th,., and yet no letter from cic.. 17 months na since we lodged the application :(

The wait is long and get frustrating.... my wife is finally in Canada, she arrived in May/2015 and we applied in February 2014. It was a long wait but finally we are together. I wish all good luck in your applications. And don't get so frustrated, the day will come.

As far as I know you need your PR card to get back to Canada,
But I also believe that the embassy in Makati can provide a paper to allow you to go back,
but you need to find out., maybe someone can contact the Canadian Embassy in Philippines
and find out. Christmas is almost here.
