oo nga... im hapi na meron pla ako ka-batch in sending pp. oo nka-received ako ng urgent letter galing sa embassy-mla requesting 4 my pp, and other docs(marriage advisory and personal history). Based on ur situation, there are some things that came up into my mind... 1. maybe they already sent u a letter but it didn't came thru due to address/spelling error.... so that's why they tried their best to make a way to reach you(via phone call). 2. maybe ur letter got stolen/misplaced(this cases mostly happen in some places/areas so as for me, I advised our town postmaster not to deliver any mails addressed for me to anyone... I kept on checking and pick it up myself at the post office). 3. maybe the embassy didn't sent you a letter for they preferred to reach you by phone call.

Well, ayun na nga... they gave u a phone call requesting to send ur passport. so, uv done a good thing by sending ur pp yesterday. hwag kng mg alalala ghelbheng.... i sense it that the processing of ur apps goes smoothly. they're only asking for ur pp.. so then, that's it... if ever they will need any additional docs from you.. 4 sure... they will ask it first than ur pp. PP is the last thing that the embassy will ask from all the applicants who's apps goes smoothly. the purpose of asking for the red-colored valid/original passport is for visa stamping.

ghelbheng, i hope the ideas that i've written here will help you enlighten ur mind and keep having faith and hoping... Let's leave our trustt to God....and we'll be alright ... God bless ... fil_love_can

Any comments po, all ears ako.

Thank you Ghelbheng06 at Hentaznel, your responses are really helpful. I wasn't able to include this particular requirement since I was really confused with the idea of cenomar in relation to being married. Anyways, I would asked my wife first thing in the morning to think about procuring the advisory of marriages soon. This is a big help...salamat po ulit.

Thanks for the reply fil_love_can

Voter's id, along with permanent school records, baptismal are requested for those with late registered birth certificate.

So missmyhoney, just want to clarify this, they usually ask these other documents when you're birth certificate is registered late? I'm guessing you had a late registered birth certificate?

Thanks again!

@ ILOVEMYWIFE

When you were asked to send additional family information , was this something you might have missed in the initial documentation , or was this extra information they requested ?

Thanks Denoose .

Hi Po,

thanks for the help everyone. one question i had was what determines how long the overall process takes? for me I submitted our papers in early July, I received sponsorship approval in mid-late August and we are "In=Process" in ECAS. However I see other people have already been asked to submit their passport and in the final phase.

any thoughts?

cheers,

Shane

@jeans22
yup, if the birth certificate is late registered, they need the additional documents as listed in the application guide to verify your identity.

hello everyone ,

my husband receive a letter asking him to pay 490 for permanent resident application, we have paid 550 when we send the application,
we didnt know about this 490 payment, he is goin t pay on monday in canada.

im worried will it delay the application? is this the payment you say will delay the application who have the same case as me.. pls help

pls pls

Hi Hentaznel,

I hope this would help in answering your question. Sa immigration canada application fees, we need to pay the fees in full if we want them to process our application faster. If not, it would add up to the delay. These are the corresponding fees:

$75 - to process sponsorship application
$475 - to process the principal applicant papers
$490- permanant residence fee

$1040.00 canadian is the total payment for outland immigration application.

Goodluck....
