Hey all... Just an inquiry here: I got my automated reply from the CIC On april 3, 2015. They received my application on 2/12/2015. I have a UCI and App. No from the email.

Is this thing seriously going to take 17 MONTHS for them to process it on stage 2 manila side? I fear for my marriage, how are we suppose to wait that long? December 2016 if I calculate correctly? and this assuming the package is all correct too?

Wasn't this only 2-4 months a couple years ago??

I had to wait 20 months. 17 is for 80 percent of cases. Some take longer, some shorter. When I first applied the wait time was 11 months.

Hi! Question lang po, they are requiring med. request frm the embassy before they can schedule you for medical right? They don't do upfront? I just filed our application last march, and we are lacking my husband's medical bec. of that. :(

tapecan,
it should not actually take 17 months, it can depending on complexity of file. On very simple files with plenty of proof you should expect 6-9 months once its transferred to phills. they usually request passport after a month or 2 in phills and hold it for until file is completed. Our file was completed in under 5 months once in phills but I kept on them
just think positive and hope for the best
good luck

All Canadian port of entries equipped mag intake ng bagong immigrants. Baka nga mas bilis and processing kasi Calgary hindi busy entry point.

Hi. I would answer that as Yes. Some had their papers processed less than 17 months, some took more than the processing time given. I think it all depends if your package (documents) are complete and also varies with the Visa officer who handles your papers. But to set your expectations, think of it as 17 months processing time. The faster the better.
To give you an idea on what I'm saying, I'm a November 2013 applicant, at that time processing time was only 14 months, up to now no visa yet, running 15 months in the process, no additional documents required by VO, they just requested to do re-medical since I did it upfront, and re-submit my NBI clearance (like police clearance) since it already expired. ;D stay patient, its all worth the wait.

Hi friends,
Question lang, can i forward additional documents(proof) to cic even though it wasn't requested?
I have included the stamps on our passports as proof of our travels outside the country but the front page of the passport i included was my husband's new passport so the pages with stamps and the front page doesn't match.
Has anyone here tried sending documents proactively?
Thanks po sa sasagot.
