Hi, my husband finally got DM status in ECAS today! We have waited since July 2013. It's been in Manila for 20 months! Good luck to everyone! I hope you don't have to wait as long as we did.

Wow... that is just too much... I am glad that they finally did DM, 20 months is just too much....
we have been waiting for almost 15 months, and its already taking too long, but seems to me
that everything is moving slow in Manila lately.... But God has a plan for all of us, and the day will come

Guys, I think the processing time until the final stage depends on the visa officer who handles our papers, the
completeness of our documents and on the type of
the application.

Mine was forwarded to CEM just last November 2014 and
on January 2015 they asked for NBI clearance, Feb was
medical then March PPR and now April DM. See? I never imagined that it would be as fast as this.

So just to add sunshine to those who are also waiting don't worry guys, yours is near too. Don't lose your faith. Everything happens in his perfect time and not in ours.

Remember nothing is impossible because even the word itself says IM POSSIBLE. Godbless to all of us!

Mine is only application received though they already requested my passport

We're the same. Are you sept 2014 applicant too? Do you emailed them and inquire about the status of your application??

It will take a month like mine before sending email.

Really? OMG!i hope not . :'(

you did not indicate the office who will conduct it. Kung free, most probably hindi yan yung sa CFO na required at may bayad..... and the CIC does not speak for the CFO

I got the same email coming from Manila Immigration, and it says in the email it's a "free" one-day seminar for all immigrants. So this is not PDOS yet? what does PDOS stands for? thank you for answering my query.

Thanks Awesomeg we are thrilled that it is nearing the end.
If you don't already have your MP working on your case, you should start to get him/her involved now.
If it weren't for our MP, my husband's file might still be sitting in the "queue for review" where it was for ten months.
Our MP really helped a lot. Hang in there, your time will come soon! :)

Hi! When did u file your application?

Hi cowfeepanda! We filed last August 2014, still no update from CEM. They requested for a police clearance last Nov. How bout you?
I really wish we'll receive more good news in the days to come!

Hello guys! Ecas status is now In process! And i received an email from Cem re: Free pre departure orientation seminar.. Eto na ba yung pdos?or eto yung hindi required?
Hi po! Also received today an email from cem re:free pre-departure orientation. Had ppr march 6, ecas- changed to DM march 30. Hopefully, visa is on its way since cem is already reminding us of the pdos we needed to attend.

I got multiple entry and i am still waiting for my PR. Application is simply done online where you would need to upload forms and documents. Once it is approved, you will get a mail informing you to submit your passport to the nearest embassy (i know there is an updated form, not sure if u still need to specify which embassy u want to submit your passport to)

Thanks again cowfeepanda. May i know your timeline? We are planning to apply for TRV by May if we don't receive any emails from CEM. We are getting impatient. There's no way to tell when our visas wll come coz they don't follow a particular timeline and it's quite frustrating. The agony of waiting without being updated is just so hard to take. This forum helps though and I'm happy each time I read that someone got DM. And I envy them at the same time. We are all hoping for the best.

Actually, my husband is the applicant and yes he is a September with only application reveived as status. I inquire about the status of his application when I informed them of my change of address here in Canada and they replied me with a passport request for my husband and they received it March 9 this year but no news since then.

surelymaple;
Got the same email last Feb. i dont know why. We still dont have PPR though. ECAS still says "in process".

We received an email from my our mp. and this is not helping me.. please share your thoughts.
here it is

I hope you received my voicemail. I spoke with CIC regarding your sponsorship and they indicated that the medicals are passed and good until 24 March 2016. On 31 March 2015 they received a number a documents pertaining to this case including the passport, photos, Right of PR fees, police report, schedule A, additional family information, and proof of medical compliance. Additionally, they received email correspondence on 02 April 2015. The bring forward date on the file is 03 May 2015, so if you are looking for another update, you may want to wait until after that date. The criminality and security checks have not yet begun to be processed on this application. Additionally, the standard processing time in Manila is 17 months for this application type. Manila received the file on 06 May 2014 so 17 months would take you to 06 Oct 2015.

- the email correspondence i sent was just to make a follow up. would that mean if you make a follow up. they extend it more? are they nuts?
also another concern, how does the processing time being measured? is it from the time CICi Mississauga received it or CIC manila? because we sent ours January 29, 2014 and CICI Mississauga received it Feb 3, 2014

Hello Everyone, what a great site this is for info! I wish everyone luck in their applications to be with their loved ones!!

There's so much info though hope I can ask the people here that know more or have experienced this already. I'll make it short haha

I recently married my beautiful wife in the municipality office in Macabebe, Philippines in front of the Mayor February 2015. We will be applying for permanent residence in Cananda soon. I"m born and bred Canadian. I'll be applying through CPC In Missassauga. Now for my questions

1: I heard it may speed up processing if my wife gets medical done now and sends to me when I send in the paperwork to Mississauga, is this true?

2: Where does my wife get the medical done, St.Luke in Manila?

3: Do they request her(wife) Passport from offices in Manila once paperwork sent from Canada? Also, do I submit my Passport to CPC in Canada and/or is copy of my passport allowed instead?

Thank You!

Hi Nexus20!

Congratulations on your wedding! Do you plan to apply as an Outland or Inland? If you don't have any idea yet.. you can check the link below:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/spousal-sponsorship-t46995.0.html

And then to answer your questions, Yes providing all the possible documents that the embassy may require in the future can make the processing more shorter. The link below will help you on preparing all your documents:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/how-i-organized-our-applcation-and-a-summary-of-all-helpful-tips-i-have-learned-t92449.0.html

As long as the hospital is under the accredited panel physician.. you can take your medical their. Yes, one of it is St. Lukes!
http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx

You'll only provide a copy of your passport on the initial application then once it has begun processing that's the only time they'll require you to send the passport itself. They will only request for the applicant's passport and not the sponsor's pp.

Hope that helps! :)
