Hello guys,

I just received the e-mail from immigration saying that my application for sponsorship has been approved and they're gonna send the application to Makati for the processing of my wife's papers. Mga ilang months kaya ito bago sya magletter sa misis ko. Sino po may experience?

Thanks and God bless.

Congratulations... stage one is done...
good luck in the next stages...
It will be some time to have news from
Makati... they may inform you when they receive the file....
But not always that letter is sent...in my own case, we did not receive it.
But many other have received acknowledge of receipt from Manila.

17 months??? ...hope it doesn't change when my application reach its 17th month... :'( :-[ ???

Now I understand why they move the processing time to 17 moths...
so, no Member of Parliament can enquire until 17 months have passed....
I hope that when we are reaching 17 months they don't move it to 24 months :-X

Sorry it is taking so long for your process. We have been in Canada for just over 2 weeks. The process in Canada was smooth and easy and very welcoming. Just a warning to everyone. Do not transfer aircraft through the USA. Filipinos need a visa. Lucky for us American immigration worked with us and gave us a temp visa but it was scary. if you need to transfer aircraft, go through Vancouver or Toronto

Thanks for the recommendation,
We will be careful to fly through Vancouver...

If less than six months, they will ask you to renew bago tatakan ng visa.

hopefully, visa na nga sya. Sa case ko naman, aside from appendix a & passport, nag-ask sila ng additional info regarding my personal and address history and submission ng NBI (mag-e-expire na kasi this April). Sa passport naman, if my memory serves me right meron somewhere sa application/doc checklist ata yun na dapat yung expiration ng passport eh matagal-tagal since more than a year yung processing time na ini-allot nila for Filipino applicants.

Hello.. parang magkapareho lang tayo nang timeline. Pero nasubmit ko kasi ung passport ang validity nya is more than 6 months nalang and less than a year.. medjo nag aalala lang ako baka maitama sa matagal na magprocess na agent At hnd maibilik agad.
Magnonotify kaya sila if for sending na ung passport?

Yes, we still waiting, we had to submit extra information and that has been delaying our application,
we are already over a year waiting, and medicals already expired, but we are waiting patiently like everybody else,
It has been hard to be separated, but waiting is worth.

Wow, it seems so hopeless when you don't hear something from them. but, important thing is they're working on it. And they said that when you reached beyond the 17 months, you call them and ask for the status.. I heard from my friends, who just got their spouses that they waited for a total of 8 months before they received the visa.

hi guys. may tanong lang po ako sa mga nag common law sponsorship

I have my student visa and valid siya until 2017, yung partner ko is willing to sponsor me sa common law partner. nakuha niya PR niya nung 2014 lang . wala pa kaming one year magkasama sa iisang bahay pero yung student visa ung magiging tulay para makatira ako sa apartment nila and at the same time maayos namin papers namin like bank, insurance etc.

pag land ko po ba sa Canada idedeclare po ba ng partner ko na ako yung common law partner niya? kasi ayon sa mga nababasa ko parang need daw po ideclare sa goverment kung may common law partner?
