This is insane....

they should provide processing times based on statistics not on pure comfort

Sorry it is taking so long for your process. We have been in Canada for just over 2 weeks. The process in Canada was smooth and easy and very welcoming. Just a warning to everyone. Do not transfer aircraft through the USA. Filipinos need a visa. Lucky for us American immigration worked with us and gave us a temp visa but it was scary. if you need to transfer aircraft, go through Vancouver or Toronto

Patience, have lots of it!....After submitting all documents, continue with your usual life. If there are substantial changes needed in your files, update CIC/CEM promptly.

Do not be frustrated by increasing processing time, it is normal. More and more applications are received everyday and they have a fixed annual immigration quota. We call it backlog, but actually not. If they do not control the influx of immigrants, soon there will be unemployment in Canada... the very reason why we are leaving the Philippines.... They lowered the age of qualified dependants, and removed the eligibility concerning continuing education... that should explain it.... there will be more shaving as the years pass...

simply crazy that it should take that long, if they are that back logged hire more staff.not acceptable anyone should be separated from spouse or loved one almost 2 years. Canada needs to have a better look at how procedures are being followed at the manila embassy! These sponsorship applications should not take longer than 6 months. Oh well we can complain all we want... yet we just continue to wait

we wait at their pleasure....that's what we get for being a 3rd-world country... who will complain? They will just tell you there is a procedure and timeline in place.... worse, you could be assigned to lazy visa officer who cannot even update the ecas....

Call to follow-up, your guess is correct... it is a call center agent at the other end of the line...they will just add sweeteners to what you both can see over the internet ecas... call a second time, there's the other agent saying a totally different thing...

Totally agree, my wife recieved PPR about 6 weeks ago abs our ecas just say application received, not been updated

'just received an email from manila immigration requesting me to send a "fully completed Appendix A for me and each of my family member, whether accompanying me to Canada or not", passport, NBI, a document to fill-up regarding my personal history and addresses. What is Appendix A? Yun ba yung document checklist? pasensya na po, hindi ko po sigurado kung yun nga yung tinutukoy ng visa office. Thanks in advance!

Here's Our Time Line, hope it can help you to understanding your processing times
At the time we applied it said 45 days for me to be approved and 14 months of processing at CIC Manila. It has been a long wait but worth every minute, everything is almost done.

August 2013 – Submitted Application to Sponsor, whole package.
October 2013 – Application received by CIC Mississauga office
November 2013 – CIC Sent email requesting - Upfront Medical required for wife and children
December 2013 – Application to Sponsor has been approved and sent to Manila office
December 2013 – Medicals done and CIC receives report
January 2014 – CIC Update – Medical reports received
January 2014 – More Medical testing for son
January 2014 - Applied for Visit Visa for my wife and approved in 1 week
June 2014 – son all cleared with Medical
June 2014 – CIC Email –
• Please complete Appendix A
• Submit all Original Passports
• Payment for Right of Permanent Residence Fee
• Submit Original Certificate of no record of marriage
• Original NSO marriage certificate with notation regarding of Nullity of marriage.
August 2014 – CIC Manila posted – Starting to Process your application
August 2014 – Furtherance Medical for son
November 2014 – results received by CIC all is good with results
January 2015 – Medical Re-assessment required for everyone except son ( Medicals had expired)
January 2015 – Please submit
• NBI clearance for oldest (just turned 18)
• Complete IMM5669E Sched A – Background/Declaration – for oldest child
January 2015 – CIC receives Medical Re-assessment report
February 2015 – Please attend, Pre-Departure Orientation.
February 2015 – Still says, In Process  Everything requested has been completed.
February 2015 – CIC posted Decision Made

Kasama yun sa email ng CEM. Check mo yung attachment.

hi po yung unang email po di sya kasama (appendix A form) so nag-check ako sa web and replied to CEM via email asking them what is appendix A since di sya kasama sa attachments. in-attach ko na din yung nakita kong form para ma-clarify kung yun nga. they replied naman with the correct appendix a form.

Thank you po nagkaroon ng ganitong forum.
Meron po sana akong gustong itanong, re: sa questionaire page3 number15 at page4 number18.
Civil wedding po kami pero un ceremony dun narin po ginawa sa mismong reception,.
Un marriage certificate namin nakaregister sa Pasay RTC po, nagwowory po ako baka magkaroon ng conflict.

I just received the e-mail from immigration saying that my application for sponsorship has been approved and they're gonna send the application to Makati for the processing of my wife's papers. Mga ilang months kaya ito bago sya magletter sa misis ko. Sino po may experience?
