Hi quechuong,

Are you the sponsor of your mom? When did you apply for her? Can you post your timeline, pls? I just wanna compare it with my application. I haven't received yet the medical/pcc request. Still waiting since I got the approval last Jan. 27th, 2015. Hoping to get the request soon.

Thanks.

CEM's complete address is on the website.
Just write on the next line Attn: Family Reunification Unit
Immigration Section

And do not forget the reference/immigration file number if she already has it, write it below her name. The sender's name should be the one to whom they wrote the letter. Enclose a copy of that letter.

Do not worry about passport request.....it will come in due time... we have the estimated processing times on the website to give you an idea of how long it will take. Worrying will only consume your patience...

Thanks ! Can you please let me know what website you're referring to ?

I applied in August 2008. The original VO was Singapore. I don't know why it's Manila now. I guess Singapore is swarmed.

I'm so glad that it's at this stage. Hope everything will work out at the end.

You applied 2 years before me. Mine is Aug. 2010 and forwarded to Ottawa. But they mentioned in the letter that they may transfer my file to local visa office if it needs to.

Hopefully, your mom will get her visa this year. As long as her medical is ok and PCC were submitted and cleared, you have nothing to worry. We just have to be a little patient in waiting.

Thanks! I think we're all very patient. I never wait for anything more than 6 years.

I just noticed Manila visa office changed its average processing time from 15 to 17 months.

This is insane....

they should provide processing times based on statistics not on pure comfort

Hi Sis,

Paano na ang 2014 at 2015 applicants? Dami pa nga 2013 naiwan.

Kaya pala bumagal ang progress ng mga applications ngayon. Sabi pa naman sa news improved processing time ang expected sa 2014 and will continue on 2015.. What's happening now is opposite talaga. :'( :'( :'(

Perhaps you did not submit the birth certificate from NSO (now PSA)...if they have no records, work out the late registration procedure... this may take time....but the surest.

The prenatal record alone may not be sufficient proof because there was no existing child name to certify at that time....only a proof that you are bearing a child. The post natal may include pediatrics records. You may also get affidavits from your parents that the named child is indeed yours. If your child is already schooling (i have no idea), you may submit school records and documents showing you as parent...

Hi, grabe nakaka sad naman ang pabagal na pabagal na processing times :(.

Just curious lang... What could have been the chances if spouses with canadian PR husbands apply under express entry? Is it allowed to apply under that category? Buti pa sila 6months lang approved na at PR agad.... Priority pa! Although risky lang yun, but sometimes I wonder if we are allowed...

#curious

the category is for skilled immigrants.... and it is by invitation only. You apply, and if you are qualified, they invite you in writing...If you sponsored him already under family class, perhaps he will be denied under that category because that is double application already. If you excluded or did not intend to sponsor him, maybe... but he will be applying independently by himself, on his own merits....

Totoo naman ang sinasabi nila na improved processing. Never in recent years had they processed as much as they are doing now.

Hope you will understand. By the time they open/process your file, they are saying they will finish it in 6 months... kaya kung naubos na yung backlog, filers will just have to wait 6 months...

I am not saying na dapat nila laktawan ang mga naiwan. Did I say wag nila unahin ang mga naiwan sa 2009 and 2014? What I noticed is hindi tuloy tuloy ang trend kung gano kabilis ang processing, almost lahat ng almost lahat ng june 2014 my visa na so by this time nageexpect na kaming july 2014 applicants na uusad na din yung samin. Of course alam ko na it is first come first served basis and naiintindihan ko don't worry. :P
