wow, congrats kuya, super bilis, my husband is a Canadian citizen, why it took so long? one year na kaya sa amin, I was DM for one month already and not yet visa on hand, sana e-touch ni lord ang heart nang taga CEM, proper documents naman lahat at pinatagal pa nila even DM na ako (sighing) not really good. only God knows , I just hope maging honest and fair mag serbisyo, anyhow there is God Hindi siya natotolog kung sino at ano tayo...I'm happy for you kuya, ingats

I don't know and I'm not the only one who have a case like this, my hubby became DM last sept. 2013, I did my remed last Aug. then after a month I became DM, in my ECAS it shows that I am a decision made... I read also some threads that they are still waiting their passport and visa for two months . the mp told my hubby wait until 60 days, so sad..

Ok so I am hoping I can get this all figured out with a little bit of help.

I am a Canadian born citizen currently living in the Philippines and married to a Filipina wife. We have been chatting since 2012 before I came to the philippines June 2013 to live with/marry her.

She has one 6 year old child from a previous past relationship with a Filipino.

Anyways the guys name and signature are on the child's birth certificate even though he has never been involved in the child's life as well as givin no financial or emotional support.

We have a plan to submit an application for my wife within the next 2 months for a family class sponsership to canada to live with me.

The child will be in sole custody of her parents while she is residing in canada and will not be accompanying her at first.

So my first question would be...
1.) How long after she gets her pr card and lands in Canada will she be able to sponser her child herself?

She receives her PR card in 4 to 6 weeks. She can sponsor her child then. But first, when you submit an application for your to become PR, make sure she includes her child as her dependent

2.) Is there any other documents that the cic will request to prove that the child is staying with her parents?

If the child is a minor, CIC might ask for a letter from her parents that they are the legal guardian of the child

3.) She currently does not and has not had any contact with the biological father since the child was born as well as does not know his whereabouts. How will this affect the app process and what kind of consent does she need to get if any?

You might want to call CIC to verify this. Minor child needs a consent from the other parent to travel--DSWD in the Phils. might require you to have a parent consent.

4.) is there anything else I should be concerned about on need to get before we submit?

We have plenty of proof of our relationship and I am confident that we will have no problems filling out the application and gathering the necessary documents.

We have the medical exam all done for her and the child as of last week and are just currently waiting now for the renewal of her passport in my surname which should be ready in just over 1 month.

The application is very straight forward but I am just worried about how long it will take and all of the requirements for the child after she gets a pr.

I would obviously hate to see her and myself away from the child for long as he is very attached to us.

Try to inquire the nearest DHL in your place.. Dat is most likely the problems applicants encountered.. The courier was not able to deliver the package just like what happened to my husband's friend, they've been waiting for so long and someone told them to make an inquiry, and there you go, they were able to get the package from DHL.. They found out that the package was been there for couple of weeks...

The courier was not able to deliver the package just like what happened to my husband's friend, they've been waiting for so long and someone told them to make an inquiry, and there you go, they were able to get the package from DHL.. They found out that the package was been there for couple of weeks...

Cant you make ur own followup direct with embassy?for sure you have your number, better inquire direct coz its really weird that DM and yet you dont hv visa to date..wish you all the best.
