Hi, please hear my story. I got married in the Philippines. And my husband is now in Canada and I am here the Philippines. Is it possible that my husband can file a divorce there in Canada even though we got married here?

If yes, will I be notified by the Canadian court about the divorce proceedings? You see I heard a lot of stories to the effect that Filipinos are getting divorce in Canada and got married again in Canada. I heard that the reason this is commonly done it's because divorce is cheaper and easier than having an annulment proceedings in the Philippines.
And here's another thing we had a son.we had undergone our medical examination at a panel physician last january.
I didnt know if my husband filed our application.because last month he just told me he wants to divorce me.
Please I really need an answer about this issue. I hope you can clear my mind on these matters. Thank you very much and more power to you! God bless!

Hello sis, sorry to hear about what happened to you. Yes, your husband can file for a divorce here in Canada but I don't see how he will be able to do that without securing your signature. He can re-marry here but but not in the Philippines. And even if he filed the sponsorship, he can easily withdraw the application.

hindi ko rin alam bakit natagalan wala silang na email sakin na problem kasi medical ko naman ok feeling ko super review sila sa paper ko kaya natagalan tapos age gap ko sa foriegn hubby ko siguro. Nagyon kasi preggy ako sa 2nd baby namin nag email ako saknila na gusto ko sna doon nako manganak siguro nakatulong din yon nareliase nila na where notplaying games with my hubby.

Red Flag pala ang age gap? Congratulations ulet. Kami ng hubby ko 10 years din ang age gap. haha Pero mas isip bata pa nga yon kesa sa akin, eh. hehe

Filipino/ Canadian ba hubby mo or pure Canadian?

hello po, andito po ako sa saudi ngayun, and talagang kabilin bilinan po ng hubby ko na kumuha ako ng criminal background check before ako uwi sa pinas,,ang dami nga po proseso before makakuha ng police clearance dito.. ngpunta pa po kami sa philippine embassy, then sa ministry of foreign affairs then sa police station sa dammam for finger printing.. puntahan ko na lang po yung pinaka police certificate na naglalaman ng finger prints ko.. then pa translate ko pa po dito... grabeeehh..ang daming process pero tiyaga tiyaga lang and pray, pasasaan ba, magkakaroon din ng nilaga.. sana po maayos nio na po yung police clearance ng wife nio...God bless po.

hello sa lahat,, kapag nabuntis po ba at nanganak bago dumating ang PR visa,,, ano po mangyayari,maiiwan po ba ang bata or need na mag apply ulit na kasama ang bata?... balak po namin ng asawa ko na bumuo ng baby pag bisita nya sakin dito sa september...magkakaroon po ba ng problem yon?

Kidding aside, saan ba hinahanap ang PDOS certificate? And Immigration Officer ba ang maghahanap? Sino ang nakaalis na hindi dumaan ng Pinas? In my case, PAL kasi sasakyan ko so dadaan ng Pinas from Bangkok, pero hindi na ako dadaan ng Immigration Officer sa Pinas kasi connecting flight naman. Problema ko is wala naman akong seminar na PDOS kasi alangan namang uuwi ako dyan at babalik dito para lang sa PDOS, diba?

hello po... ask ko lang po sana, necessary pa po ba na i print lahat ng emails namin ng hubby ko to prove na we have genuine relationship?

may accredited translator po ba ang Canadian Embassy for documents that are not in English or French? nabasa ko po kasi na dapat may affidavit (by the one who translated) na kasama ang translated documents and ang affidavit na ito ay dapat signed by the translator in the presence of a commissioner.. pano po ba ang process na ito? kailangan po ba ako pa ang mag hanap ng commissioner for the person that will translate the document or need ko lang siyang i notify na kailangan ng mga ganitong bagay... maraming salamat po..
