Strike and yolanda.
We just have to keep on waiting. Enjoyin ang pagsstay dito sa Pilipinas.

Thank u :) At least i know now what to tell to my husband and to my in-laws if they will ask me about it. Your definitely right, patience is a virtue and i know this is worth waiting for to be with those people we love.

Maybe because of the strike, and they proritize the Yolanda victims last year.

In addition to Yolanda and the Strike....the Canadian Government chopped the VO in Seoul and Tokyo...funneling everything through Manila... :o(

I have no idea how many extra staff they employee now in Manila but for sure they have more work than they did last year..it wasnt too long after the other Asian VO offices closed that they extended the time line to 14 months...

He can also get a notarized letter from a lawyer stating that he was in a common law relationship from what date to what date and the lawyer can say that the relationship ended at a certain date. If he was already separated by 2012 and his income tax will reflect that the lawyer can add that to the statement as well and then he can attach his Income Tax papers with the notarized letter. That way makikita ng titingin ng papers nyo na you are not trying to hide anything and you are disclosing all information. I should also add that the lawyer can also include the date that you guys started your relationship and when you guys got married as well.

I hope this helps. Let me know you if you need more information about this.

And I agree with DsWifey, you should declare your son/daughter, kasi if not, you won't be able to sponsor him/her in the future.

Thank you po olinadposadas for answering my question.

Hi Sis

Yes sa lawyer sa Canada sya magpapa notarize. Yung lawyer din ang mag prepare nung statement for him. So bigay nyo lang yung facts sa lawyer and he/she will just write them down and notarize the paperwork after. It is smart to attach his income tax papers that says that he has been separated from the common law as well.

I think for sure kailangang mag pa medical din ang anak mo kahit hindi mo sya kasama papunta dito. Other than that I am not really sure. Make sure to read this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3905e.pdf

Processing time, it's really hard to say kasi unpredictable ang CEM, it depends sa VO.

But normal processing time is online:

Step 1: Sponsor Assessment. 35 days, they are currently working on Applications received on December 18, 2013.
Step 2: By Visa Office. CEM - 14 months
