Thank God guys. . Landed yesterday 9pm montreal time. . It's my 1st 24hrs. . ;)
Nice ang Toronto maging port of entry nyo. .

Asks questions:
1. Imigration:
a. Where will you go?
2. SIN:
a. What is your name?
b. Your birthdate?
c. Your sponsor's name?
d. Address where you gonna live? (cause it is where they send your SIN card in 2 weeks)
e. Phone number? (give my sponsor's cell number)note:remember your sponsor's phone numbers
f. Your Mother's name?
g. Your Father's name?
3. Luggage Inspector:
a. Do you have chicharon and bagoong there? (YES-open your lugage and show B4)(NO-let you pass)in my situation even I bring dried and salted fish I said "I don't have",then the inspector said "Ok you may go"

It only takes 30minutes with all this process. Instead of 9pm scheduled connecting flight to Montreal,Air Canada put me in 8pm flight cause am done everything.

Hope this will give you some idea and help. Have a great day! Grrrrr... ang ginaw!

ilang oras ang lay over mu s toronto sis sb nga ni hubby dun daw ako pero im worried kc nga maiksi lng time paano kung maraming pila,,not like vancouver nkita ko 4-5hrs ganun ang lay over dun,,thanks

Lay-over ko 3hours and 15minutes. . nakarating ako 6:20(schedule 6:05).
Next flight ko 9:20 schedule, pero dahil natapos ako agad sa pgprocess ng papers ko,nilagay nila ako sa 8:05 flight pra d nah daw ako mghintay ng matagal. . ang nakakatuwa ang sa Hongkong kc lay-over 1hr,delay ang flight sa Cathay ng 20minutes kaya may sumalubong sakin nah chinese empleyado ng aircanada, then she guide me through all the way till nakasakay ako s plane. . grabe ang tulo ng pawis ko sa kakatakbo. .

I suggest you enter canada right away then if budget permits, just go back to the philippines right away so your son can graduate. Weigh the cost versus benefit :)

ohh yeah! good idea!! never thought about that :-) thanks!

got an email again from CEM just right now,

Dear Ms. *****,

This refers to your recent request regarding priority processing of your application in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda).

We sympathize with the people of the Philippines affected by this terrible disaster. Part of Canada’s response to the Typhoon includes immigration measures which prioritize the processing of applications from those individuals who have been personally and significantly affected by the Typhoon.

This is to inform you that your application has been identified for priority processing. However, please be advised that you (and your family members as applicable) must still meet all statutory requirements before your application can be finalized and any visa(s) issued.

We will contact you shortly with further information.

Sincerely,
