Hi guys, I'm new here. I'm from Manila and is being sponsored by my husband who is in Canada. I just wanna ask your opinion about my case. My husband mailed our complete application package in CPC in Ontario on the first week of February 2013 but we have not received any AOR yet and no result is being returned when I tried to inquire from ecas using our receipt number from IMM 5401.

I emailed the visa office a couple of days back but there's no reply yet. I'm now worried about the progress of the application.

Your comments would be greatly appreciated!

HI sis. SCOS was right. It is supposed to be less than a month to get a Sponsorship Approval. Please call the hotline right away, I hope they give you a feedback.

By the way, has your husband been checking his emails? including junk mails?

I would say less than a month, but they will not touch it until your PPR.

Hi Acel-- would it be possible to get your email so I can get some sort of guidance in this process-- I recently submitted my application and got sponsor approval in 22 days --
the question is how long is the agony of waiting for her to receive any updates of her application in manila?

Payo ko lang po da mga magaapply pa or magpapasa pa lang ng application nila. Yung sa amin po, it only took 4 1/2 months. Ang advice po kasi sakin, isama ko na lahat ng nasa document checklist and checklist ng CEM. Nasa website po yun. And in terms of proof of marriage/relationship, mahigit 500 pages po ang naprint ko for chat logs, Skype calls, YM message archive, emails, FB, Twitter, etc. Sobrang dami kodin pong prinint na pictures simula nung highschool kami hanggang nung kasal. Nakathumbnail na nga po para tipid sa ink kasi super dami talaga. Sa application form din po, pagkkwentuhin kayo ng love story nyo in English, make sure it's in English daw po kasi hnd daw po lahat ng VO eh pinoy or marunong magTagalog. Sobrang haba din po ng pagkwento namin sa lovestory namin. I also included the FULL payment $1045 kasi daw po dun din nila binabase ung pagasikaso ng documents kung bayad na ng buo or hnd pa. Lahat po isinama ko na sa application nuong pinasa ko dto sa Canada. Wala na pong hiningi sa amin na mga AoM or anything else. July 24 pa po ang expiration ng medical ng asawa ko, I dont think na hinabol nila un kasi matagal pa naman. It is clearly base on how u will prove ur relationship kasi po marami po talaga marriage fraud ngayon just to enter Canada. Kung may tanong po kayo or u need my help, imessage nyo lang po ako. I would be more than happy to help. Alam ko po pakiramdam ng magkahiwalay. The greatest weapon here are prayers! Dasal lang po talaga. Lakas tayo kay Bro! Nakakalungkot lang kasi may mga nabasa ako sa ibang forum na nagagalit sila dahil nauna ako. That CEM had to skip them. Hnd ko alam kung bakit pero hnd ko naman siguro kasalanan un. At lalong hnd ko alam kung anong process talaga ng CEM. Before our PPR, mas pinagdadasal ko pa nga ung ibang nauna para next narin kami tapos mababasa ko na ganun. Kaya nga po may forum na ganto para magtulungan tayo diba. Kaya kung kailangan nyo po ako, I will always check this and help u guys. Just let me know!

Sis, you can check Manila VO spreadsheet to get an idea how long you are expected to wait, it is under my signature btw.
Also, the processing time for Manila VO posted in the CIC website went up to 14 months compared to 8 months last year. So yea, altho 14 months is the worst case scenario, it will significantly affect the length of our applications.

Couple of months ago, we were expecting PPRs around 5-7 months after the sponsorship approval. I'm not sure how the trend will be like in the next months.

I got excited when I saw the approval-- but i guess more waiting and waiting--

My colleague and I are right then. It will make the processing time longer. He applied in September last year, got the SA by December and he found out just this week that his VISA office just received his application. Too much cost cutting are being done. I think the head of the immigration is more of an economist. Haha.

How I exactly felt when I came back to Canada
Just keep yourself busy and time will fly fast. Btw, if you are Canadian citizen, you can stay in the Philippines during the process.
