Yes, please be careful missyani! I know that in certain circumstances being common law while you are being sponsored as a dependent child can invalidate your PR.

Good point. I was worried about her 'undeclared common law' spouse and that 117(9) rule. I realized after my post that address would have to match for her to sponsor via common-law, and yet if he's undeclared, putting that on paper would be like shooting herself in the foot (so to speak). If you plan to sponsor and he is undeclared (and we don't know all the details) I'd be very careful of submitting an application to sponsor via common-law. Better that you're not common-law, go home and get married, come back and sponsor via spousal application (as Steph alluded to already).
