I'm new here and unfortunately cannot backread over 1,000 pages of posts! ;D

I just wanted to share that I am currently in the Philippines, fixing my Travel Document Application for arrival in BC March 13, 2013.

Here's a quick timeline

2007-DEC- Landed in BC
2008-JAN- PR Card Issued
2011-AUG- Left for Manila again
2012-DEC- Finally Married my fiance for 3 years, and boyfriend of 9 years!
2013-JAN- PR Card Expired
2013-FEB- Fixing travel document application, hoping to have it picked up this week - met requirements (943 days in Canada)
2013-MAR- Flight to Canada

I will need to have my PR Card renewed before being able to petition my husband, right? How long am I looking at and what would I need from him to bring with me to Canada? I'm really tired of the long distance relationship and I can't believe we have to go back to it before I can petition him.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. I would love for the process to be quick.

-Unemployed though I am capable to focusing on my business fulltime (photography & design) or look for a fulltime job if necessary
-Parents are in BC too, so I have a place to stay while waiting
-travel plans are pending while PR card will have to be renewed

Any tips? Suggestions? Warnings?

hi kabayan! Thanks sa mga katulad mo na ever willing to share ang knowledge and experience sa mga first timers like me. I am based here in Italy and im engaged to my Canadian bf for more than a yr. We plan to go to Manila n marry there, apply for a spousal visa there, at dun na rin hintayin ang result. we will be staying and working there for a year, while waiting for the visa. What do you think of this move...especially applying the spousal visa in the Canadian emb in Manila? Thanks kabayan!

We received your application for permanent residence on July 30, 2012.

Medical results have been received.


Ask ko lang po kung affected ba ko ng new processing times na binago nila from 9 months and now 12 months na.. that is for PR application made outside canada.


My husband is back in canada, and gusto po sana naming sumunod ng mga babies ko, pero i have no idea kung hanggang kelan ako maghihintay.

Anybody knows? i tried sending message to canada embassy in manila pero puro failure notice lang bumabalik meaning blocked ang email add..
