I'm just wondering I think there's a mistake with this 55 days on the 1st stage. If they are working on application received on Nov. 9 and the page was updated Jan. 16 then it should be 67 days (more or less).

Before, this # of days in the 1st stage was accurate with the date they are working on and the date the page was updated.

The stage one processing time is calculated on calender days starting from the date a complete application is received. The CIC is currently opening applications that were received on Nov 9th, some of which will undoubtedly be incomplete. Those are set aside and not included in the calculation of the 55 day processing time that they have posted for the activity of the past week.

When anxiously waiting for your Stage 1 application to come up, just watch the "Working on applications received on;".
The two calculations appear not to match due to those incomplete applications.

Hello again everyone, i have a few questions.

1. I made a mistake in the additional family information form i mailed to my husband. The house number for his address is wrong. Can we just use correction tape on it to correct it?

2. For organizing the whole package, would it be better to have smaller envelopes for sponsor, applicant and proof or do we just arrange it and mail the whole thing?

Hope I can be enlightened. Super stressed nako sa app na to, I am on the verge of a breakdown. Compiling and filling up palang ilang beses nakong umiyak dito :(

1.) just to make sure write a new one.
2.) arrange the papers according to checklist that comes along with the kit and put it a big envelope.

That isn't the only reason. They work on apps ahead of the "working on" date as well. Look at the spreadsheet. People in December have sponsor approvals which means they have obviously been worked on.

hi guys i read from other thread that you could ask a canadian citizen to talk to a consular to ask for your status. has anyone tried this?

Hi Ruine!
Pag na-submit na po ng wife niyo sa CIC-Mississauga ung complete application; Initially, you will have to rely on the tracking information ng delivery service provider nyo...
Then, after few months or depende sa processing time ng CIC-M, they'll inform your wife thru mail or email po na nareceive na nila. By that time, you should be able to check the status of your application on eCAS, using your wife's UCI No.
Have a good eve. :)
