The waiting period for the releasing of marriage license in the Philippines is 10 working days. However, I'll be arriving there less than 10 days before our wedding date. I was told to get an Affidavit of Cohabitation in lieu of the marriage contract. Is it advisable to get an Affidavit of Cohabitation instead of the marriage contract? Wouldn't the CIC think that we were common-law partners before I landed? Wouldn't that be a problem when the time comes to sponsor him? I'll appreciate all your feedbacks and comments.

Cohabitation means nagsama kayo, so even your PR application declaration may be questioned or challenged.
