May tanong lang po sana ako sa inyo. I just recently got my PR card. I'm planning to go back to the Philippines to get married and to sponsor my future husband. The waiting period for the releasing of marriage license in the Philippines is 10 working days. However, I'll be arriving there less than 10 days before our wedding date. I was told to get an Affidavit of Cohabitation in lieu of the marriage contract. Is it advisable to get an Affidavit of Cohabitation instead of the marriage contract? Wouldn't the CIC think that we were common-law partners before I landed? Wouldn't that be a problem when the time comes to sponsor him? I'll appreciate all your feedbacks and comments. Baka magka-problema ako kapag i-sponsor ko na sya.

magkakaproblema ka po talaga. Take the normal route. That license can be declared null and void because the notarial/sworn statement is spurious/fake dahil wala ka during the filing. Cohabitation means nagsama kayo, so even your PR application declaration may be questioned or challenged.

Tanong lng po s mga ng Redo po ng medical. After ma expired po medical ilan buwan po nkraan bgo kyo nkrecib ng letter from CEM to redo medical? Tnx in advance!

Hi eljem21!yung sa akin, nag expire July then nakatanggap ako ng "medical furtherance" September but yung date ng letter was august 21...chest xray nalang yung pinaulit.don't know Sa iba.Baka Hindi na kasi Pwede naman magrequest for medical extension ang vo upto a year(new rule nila).

Right now I am frustrated and upset!!!! I made a case specific inquiry through email lastweek and they replied saying that they havent received anything!!!!! I swear I am pulling hair out of anger, smoke is coming out of my nose and ears if that's even possible. I sent it through LBC to make sure that I have a proof that I sent it. Cus the last time I tracked it they said that it was delivered to cem on august 10 which already is a long delay because I sent it August 6 but because of they habagat I just considered the delay. But now they are telling me they haven't received anything is just f*% @ #$! bull sh*t.

Sis, I'd suggest you call LBC. I'm sure they have the record of who received it. Then mag-email ka sa CEM about it at sabihin mo na napadala mo lahat ng hinihingi nila. Grabe na ang kapalpakan na yan on their end.

ganyan po sila sumasagot pag nagfollow-up ka within the prescribed processing time. Subukan nyo uli iba na naman sagot. Pero meron din accommodating. Anyway, nilagay nyo ba yung ref.number nyo sa front ng envelope? Tatawag namn sila o susulat kung di pa nila natanggap at kailangan na mag-stamp ng visa. Yan nga ang hirap sa kanila ayaw nila iacknowledge receipt ang passport e napakaimportanteng document.

No problem!yes one month after nag expire tsaka Sila nag issue ng medical furtherance. September 7 ko na Nga natanggap yung mail.yung sayo Baka next week darating na yan but may possibility rin na nagrequest nalang sila ng extension.who knows. either way, pagnatapos na tong stage na to, visa na ang kasunod for sure.

I'm really pissed, first they lost my medicals and now my additional proofs. I'm sooooo at the end of my rope right now.

Aug. 13, 2012- Redo-med ko yan ang date na nakalagay sa Medical A form galing CEM merong na syang picture ko at yan ang binigay ko sa DME ko which is sa SCTS ky Dra. Timbol , pero nareceived ko Aug. 23 kasama sa URGENT letter na pinadala ng CEM.
