Hi everyone! I submitted my application and complete docs for spousal sponsorship to CIC-M on the 1st week of July this year but I haven't received any letter from the immigration yet.. does any of you guys know why? because my friends told me that it's just supposed to be 1 month for them to make a sponsorship assessment but it has been almost 2 months now.. please advise guys.. thanks a lot!!

Please check the cic website for standard processing times. It varies. That should explain why.

another thing, what is this ECAS that everyone is talking about? how can i get access to it and will I be able to know if CIM really received my application and docs? Im a bit worried if maybe they haven't received my mail yet.. am I just too paranoid?

ECAS - (electronic) Client Application Status. When your sponsorship gets approved, that's when you'll be able to log in. You can use your UCI (universal client id) which is your PR card number (if you are a permanent resident) or your application number (begins with F, e.g F000012345) to check the status of your application. You will receive an approval letter from CIC wherein you'll find your application number and UCI.

Don't fret. I think CIC is still processing June applications. Soon, it'll be your application's turn. You can track if your application was successfully delivered by calling the courier you used to send it in.

ah really? Pwede wallet-sized photos? Even wedding photos? wooow! Di ka naman nagkaproblem dun? Ilang photos sa isang short bond paper?

Yup. Even wedding photos. Basta dapat lang makilala lahat ng andun sa picture at kita na kayo talaga yun. Four to five pictures per bond paper ako. Hindi naman ako nagkaproblema. Nakuha ko na visa ko nung Thursday.

WOW! thanks for the detailed info... actually I just came from pinas for my sister's wedding and spent a month with my lovely wife there but leaving her is so hard that I just want everything to go fast forward! sigh.. thanks a lot!

Hi guys, finally we're done sa stage one, May applicant kami, husband got his approval sa Quebec to sponsor me after 30days of waiting, nung ma approved sya ng Immigration. Nakuha namin AOR Thursday last July20, 2012, by Monday July 23,2012 approved na siguro kc Quebec did most of the researches and stuff kaya it took that long, anyways I'm just curious he's coming here this month for a little wee visit to finally meet my family my question is first when he was approved by the immigration na forward na ba agad dito ung application namin? Second pwde ba ako mag send ng mga pictures namin na finally he met my family already like additional proof ng relationship namin, if yes how? Like need ko pa ba mag gawa like cover letter together with the pictures before ko I send sa CEM sa Makati? Ano ilalagay ko sa envelope? Thanks I'll be waiting for your responses thanks!

For those who were just starting to fill up their application forms, kze nabasa ko mga recent na post nyo...fyi lang po, just make sure na before nag apply or before your husband landed in canada dapat naka declare kayo with him, if under spouse category,if not magkaka problema for sure yan...be careful in using of words...such as declaring that both of you were living together, cohabits or in a common-law partner...

Sa akin po nakadeclare na common-law kami before nung apply pa lang sila ng petition ng byenan ko pati anak namin nakadeclare. Kaya itong forms ko ngayon ng pagkuha samin e dapat parehas sa sinagutan ko noon mga answers ko.. Buti nga declared nia kami nun kung hindi siguro iyak tawa na lang ako..

send it by mail..inside the envelope put ur details..sponsor name,sponsored person birth date of the sponsored person, file number
