How did you pay the fees? IF you pay via internet you can use the receipt# to check your application status in ECAS. Give it a few days and you'll be able to see the status in ECAS. ;)

thru bank, but when we try to log in ecas using his client id there is no data found maybe they havent try to open yet(wishful thinking) maybe we just have to wait for 55 days...sigh=(

If you sent it via express post it should not take more than 3 business days.

You can track it from the canada post website (if you did get a tracking number of course)

Congrats po! I wish na maging ganyan kabilis yung application namin. We'll be sending ours on April.

tatanong ko lang po lagi ba updated yung sa ecas? kasi yung sa asawa ko pag nag check sya ng status sa ecas nakalagay application received pa din hanggang ngaun pero last month nakatanggap na sya ng letter asking for his passport and sasagutan ung appendix A and personal history. March 1 pinasa na nia sa canadian embassy sa manila and hanggang ngayon walang pagbabago sa status sa ecas.. is there something wrong kaya? :(

Konting patience pa, in our case it took 2 months bago na update sa ECAS. January 26 pa nila natangap Passport and other documents na hiningi nila. 8) 8) 8)

You're still within the processing time so no worries. Besides its too early to wait for the change in ecas. If CEM received your additional documents within the BFD or Bring Forward Date then they will process your application within the BFD. You might ask what is BFD... It is the date that you see in the letter that came from CEM saying..... To ensure the timely processing of your application, the documents and information we have requested must be provided to us within FORTY-FIVE days of the of his letter.

The 45 days is the BFD. If you submitted your application within 45 days they will process your application within the BFD. Otherwise, it will be processed on the next BFD. ;)

Hi to all,

May question po ako sa mga nakakaalam about sa travel and tours site na cheapoair.com,
kailangan po ba talaga na US Visa holder ka para makapagpabook ng flight bound to Canada?

My husband and I had a huge argument about this site, kasi he planned to come here and pick me up then i suggest this cheapoair.com site to him to try to book our flight going back to canada together but he said hindi daw pwede kame magpabook ng flight sa site na yun (chepoair.com) kasi lahat daw ng flights dumadaan sa US,kaya hindi ako pwede dahil hindi naman daw ako US Visa holder. So,sabi niya what it make sense to pick me up kung magkahiwalay naman daw kami ng airplane na sasakyan.kaya i really wanna know how true his statement was , so I could accept his decision and prove that he was really right..

PLS I NEED SOME GOOD OPINION ABOUT THIS.

Your response will be highly appreciated.. :)

Thank you so much and God bless us!!!!

Let me see medyo not clear yung statement mo.. Nasa Pinas ka ba at husband mo nasa Canada? As far as I know if interconnecting flights you are not allowed to go beyond the secure area... IF lalabas ka ng immigration to get your boarding pass to your next flight then you will need a TRANSIT VISA (C-1)...

Hi, I am not familiar with the site but generally speaking, any flight from Manila to Canada that passes the US, the passenger is required to have a transit visa. That is because for you to transfer from the arrival terminal to the departure terminal for your connecting flight, you would need to go thru the screening process of the US airport thus requiring you to have a US transit visa. best option is to find a flight from Manila to Canada that either stops in Hong Kong, Korea or any Asian Country if there is no direct flight available. Where in Canada are you headed?

This is quoted from the US embassy site:
Anyone planning to transit through the United States en route to another country must obtain a transit (C-1) visa in advance of the planned travel. The transit visa is issued to foreign nationals proceeding in immediate and continuous transit through the United States to some foreign destination. Travelers who have a valid B-1/B-2 do not need a special transit visa to transit through the United States.
Travelers who intend to transit the United States, who possess a U.S. visa of a classification other than B-1/B-2 or C-1 will in most cases not be admitted by U.S. immigration officials, and may be returned to their country of origin at their own expense.

Hope that clarifies things for you :)
